10 - Amazing CD. Everyone should own it.
9 - Among the best of the year.
8 - One of the top CDs around, but could have been improved in a few places.
7 - Not a bad CD, but could have been better in a number of places.
6 - Pretty good for it's genre, but overall it's only acceptable.
5 - Decent CD, but only if you're a big fan of this genre.
4 - If you love this band, you'll like this CD. Otherwise, probably not.
3 - If you're a fan of this genre, the CD is barely acceptable.
2 - If you're a big fan of this band, this CD is tolerable.
1 - Even if you like this band, you won't like this CD.

| I was planning on getting this album when Emery released Party Song, which was poppy garbage, I heard the CD a few times on myspace trying to convince myself to like it. It wasn't Emery - honestly, it wasn't listen-able. 4/10 |

It better not be generic, I always explain Emery to people as "non generic screamo, a band with their own sound"
I like the 2 songs i've heard from it so far. .

| Yeah, I don't have it either, but I actually liked "The Party Song." "Rock 'n' Rule" is pretty good, too.

I like the 2 songs i've heard from it so far. . | I listened to about the whole thing on their myspace. It may be quite different from their first two cds, but it's anything but generic, if you ask me.
And if "Party Song" is poppy, then the rest of the cd isn't. |

| I'm only a man is probably the best one they've put out. I didn't find it generic in the least. Most newbs don't like it because it's softer, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with it to my taste. So they branched out a little. So they searched for more harmony. WHatever. You don't have to scream in every song to be an amzingly good band. I hope they're critics are silenced. 10/10.

| I can't get enough of this cd. I really like how they branched out and did something different, but not to different as to lose devoted fans. It gets a 9. |

The Teletubbies are not generic, but they don't make for good television. Lyrically, it tends to be repetitive and often meaningless. Musically, it's lacking.
The one complaint I had about Emery in the past was that they were a bit to heavy for my taste, but they always made up for that with brilliant song-writing and meaningful lyrics. I listen almost exclusively to music softer than Emery, so I don't think I am being a "newb" in my reasoning.
Whatever. I don't want to get anyone upset, that's just my take. Quote:

But it's a great cd.
My biggest problem with it is that Devin sings more that Toby. That right there makes me like it a little less than their last two. But as I said...I thought it was great. It was a nice step forward from "The Question" but it was still Emery, to me. 9/10 |
