| I've given it one listen so far, simply because I havn't had the time to listen to it more.
Judging from my first listen, it would get a 7. But I will most definetly not vote until I have thoroughly listened to it more.
But, from that first listen, I thought most of the songs nearly sucked. There were definetly some good ones, but most of it wasn't even appealing. i don't like the tone of the new style so far.
BUT, I went through this when The Question came out, and that became one of my favorite albums of any music. So, i'll give this more time and listening before I give a full review.

| I actually really liked this album. Although I did think that the last song was super repetative and didn't have the twists and turns to keep me interested. Other than that I think it was really good, not as good as The Question though. |

You don't have to scream in every song to be an amzingly good band. I hope they're critics are silenced. 10/10. | Way to be! You said it. And I concur. |

| That is totally because Devin sings more than Toby, and even then Toby sounds different. I really do like this cd, but it doesn't even touch The Question for me. |

Josh Head's screaming on this album is excellent, I thought.

| This CD has some amazing stuff (two words: world away) and is lacking in some areas.
The first two songs have really chezzy titles but are really good songs. There are also some cheezy lyrics or lyrics that are straight up awkward and don't make sense
It's kind of shaky on it's cohesive values and takes a few listens to adjust to but I'd say it's well worth it.
Definitely different, I'm glad I bought it, (or rather that my friend bought it for me) |

| I gave it a 6, overall, unimpressive, but acceptable. It's Emery, but it's them at their worst so far.

#28 | | certainly does throck | I love this CD. not as good as The Question but better than The Weak's End IMO. There are excellent songs on all 3 albums. I like the fact that Devin is singing more. Bands with 2 singers are good. Take Blink 182 for example - mark and tom shared the singing fairly evenly (Tom probably did a little more than mark) and theyre good if you like that style.
Emery will NEVER be generic. I can't think of a single other band that uses 3/4 or 6/8 time more than 4/4 other than emery. And their progressive song structures are great.
I give I'm only a Man 9
(by progressive I mean without a strong verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus structure. The songs just kinda flow (or progress) from one section to the next) |

Guess I'm a little bit late on this one, but I'm glad I finally got this CD. I'm sure how anyone could diss the lyrics on this one, they are top-notch. Most of all, Emery is fresh in a genre that breeds atypical bands by the thousands.

| Emery is my favorite band, but this isn't their best stuff.
I love it, but it's not close to what they can do.
