Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:

The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men.”

I'm somewhat surprised to be only the second person to vote and first person to comment on this album.

This is a very good album. Plain and simple. More southern than their debut, but not enough to be considered southern rock. The southern definitely comes out in songs like Washed by the Water and the title track. My personal favorite song is Streets of Gold but I also really like Restless, Again, Washed by the Water, and Nothing Left to Lose. Very good listen. There's something on this album for everybody so I really can suggest everyone giving it a try. One of the better albums I heard from 07. I give it a 9.

One of the catchiest albums I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. I tend to go through musical "phases" and I generally listen to a single group for 2-3 weeks, then move on to someone else. If I am really into something it might last for 4-5 weeks.

That said, I listened to NeedToBreathe for 5 months nonstop. I still get the songs stuck in my head even today a while after I finally moved on, and I don't mind cause they are great songs. (Whoever writes their lyrics is extremely talented!)

All in all my only reservation is that I think some of the musical arrangements could have been written/produced a bit better, but I think it will come with time and experience. NeedToBreathe now has at least one lifetime fan!

I give it a 9.
