| MLB Playoffs 2007 Well, the playoff schedule is set.
How about them Rockies?!??!
I'm of course rooting for the Angels all the way!
I wonder if this parity has ever happened before, that 7 of the 8 teams in the playoffs this year were not in the playoffs last year? (The Yanks are the only returnees... NYM, STL, LAD, SD, DET, MIN, & OAK are all left out)
Anyone for predictions? Here's my biased ones:
LAA 3, BOS 2
CLE 3, NYY 1
ARI 3, CHC 2
PHI 3, COL 1
LAA 4, CLE 2
PHI 4, ARI 2
LAA 4, PHI 3 |

LAA 4, PHI 3 | I agree until second round
Second Round I would have
CLE 4, LAA 2
PhI 4, ARI 2
CLE 4, PHI 3.
Go Indians!!! |

| I picked Angels, but the Red Sox or Indians could beat them, maybe......

| Sadly, I'm thinking NY will take this one. They made a great run to come back. I don't see the Sox doing well...but both the Angels and Indians have a good shot.
Angels vs. Sox
Indians vs. Yanks
D-Backs vs. Cubs
Phillies vs. Rockies
Angels 3 Sox 2
Yanks 3 Indians 2
Cubs 3 D-Backs 1
Phillies 3 Rockies 1
Yanks 4 Angels 2
Cubs 4 Phillies 2
Yanks 4 Cubs 3
I hope this doesn't turn out this way...I'll root for the Angels and the Indians.
But, whoever comes out of the AL will win it I think.
The above is what I think is more likely to happen. This is what I hope happens:
Angels vs. Sox= Angels
Indians vs. Yanks= Indians
D-Backs vs. Cubs= Cubs
Phillies vs. Rockies= Phillies
Angels vs. Indians= Indians
Cubs vs. Rockies = Cubs
Indians 4 Cubs 3
Wouldn't a Cleveland vs. Chicago be a crazy world Series? Cleveland vs. Philly would be cool too. |

| My vote, albeit a biased one, goes to Arizona. I have been a fan for pretty much all of my life. I really want to see them go all the way.

| I'd have to say the Yankees sadly enough. The Red Sox lost too much momentum during the last half or so of the season to pull anything off if the postseason.

More importantly, they believe they can win and are having fun at the same time. To do what they did over the last 2.5 weeks of the season is amazing, including beating the D-Backs and Padres to get to even smell last night's game.
I also made a mistake. I voted for the D-backs, but meant a vote for the Rockies.

| BoSox or Indians.NY doesnt have the pitching to make it all the way. However i think the BoSox do as do the Indians. My vote goes to the BoSox and i dont think any NL can hold up against the best AL teams.

| Rockies would really be cool as the winning team.

| Yeah I'm cheering for the Rockies as well. Anyone but the Angels and Yankees, actually.

| Another reason to root for the Rockies: they agreed to give a playoff winnings share to the widow of a Rockies minor league coach who was killed this year by a line-drive. She's pregnant and has two other kids, ages 3 and 5. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3049388

| And another reason: most of them are Christians. Which I usually think is a bunch of hooey (I don't think God cares really about who wins a baseball game), but they are a team of character. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseb...es-cover_x.htm
