I watched this game at a sports bar with the Bostonians. Great atmosphere.

That was the most boring world series I've ever seen in my life. What a snoozefest.

Well Gwen we know you hate the Sox but that was a very good Series.

Kinda surprised Lowell got MVP but i guess he deserved as much as anybody.Turns out my predictions were right.Pitching wins championships and Boston has the best pitching.

It is not just pitching. Boston also has a very potent lineup. You can not win the WS without both. Otherwise, the Padres would have been in the WS for sure.

I was expecting Ellisbury to get it.

Maybe they're just buttering Lowell up so he won't leave

Pitching and defense can only guarantee you a tie

i'm a huge believer in strong pitching and defense but realistically you can't win if the offense isn't there too. But you can have the best lineup in the world and still fail if you have a cruddy pitching staff. To be a WS champ you have to have them both. And a lot of luck. For example, if the Indians had won that game 4 and gone on to face the Rockies I think Colorado would have taken the series, but because they lost to the BoSox and the rockies had that extended time off, things turned out very differently.

Congratulations to the BoSox and their fans, though. I'm happy for all of Boston as they celebrate.

Now the countdown till Spring Training 2008 can officially begin!

Or maybe theyre buttering him up so they can show him the door and get A-Rod?

Agreed but it was pitching that sealed the win in game 2 for the Sox.

Oh, gross. I really hope that Lowell stays and A-Rod doesn't even come near Boston. He cheats.

I heard Papelbon is going to do his dance tomorrow and make Beckett do it with him

But seriously guys...I think we all need to chill out a little. I mean, Sports get intense, but let's keep it clean. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion...and that's ok.
