| JAMES MCGILL!!!
And I strongly doubt Tim Lincecum would remember me...high school was awhile ago haha! But he and my cousin are friends, so I've heard he's definitely a great guy. Though when he was at UW he had trouble with parking fines...I think he came close to setting the team record for parking tickets or something like that. But hey, if you get an MLB signing bonus, there are some things you don't have to worry about, LoL.
And Hi to you guys! How's life?

| I'm very sleepy and it's a disgusting wintry mix outside and i really want to curl up, have a mug of tea, and then take a nap, but unfortunately I'm tutoring this afternoon so I'm here at Bromfman trying to work...I suppose this is fortunate because I eventually need to get Stochastic done and it's being challenging at the moment.

| It's that time of year that I'm going crazy...
So on Tuesday I was with a group until 2am working on a stats assignment - I got five hrs of sleep and then my day went as following:
stochastic (probability) class
met a stats student to help w/hw
had 2 hrs of stats office hours with people there the whole time
an hour of stats class
an hour and a half of stats tutoring
worked on preparing stats tutorial problems.
I close my eyes and estimators bounce around inside my head...
Anyway I finish classes tomorrow! I have 3 finals next week, 2 the following week, and a bunch of exams to mark, Then one month of intensives and then DONE. My current plan is to take the year off, study and take the GREs, and apply for graduate school. But as for what I really want to do with my life...I'll figure that out as I go on
I'm unsure about my mariners at this point. Our starting pitching is pretty good, hitting not half bad, but the bullpen sans JJ Putz...shudder. Even JJ - 1 outing, 1 blown save...makes me a little nervous. But I'm confident that they can use the wins over the Devil Rays to propel themselves to success (even though in my mind, wins over the devil rays really don't count much more than beating a AAA team haha).
How are you guys doing?

| The Giants won two in a row! Both 1 run games won in late innings, too. That's awesome.
Congratulations on finishing classes. |

| Oh, ☺☺☺☺ Cheney... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24068644>1=43001
One thing I will miss about the Bush Administration: all the unintended humor.
I should be more worried about finals than I am, really I should.

| Hah i know, it totally is.
So my internet inexplicably began working again in my apartment. Actually it's terrible, terrible timing since without internet in my apt I was actually reasonably productive. I have two finals on Monday and now I'm having trouble focusing.
here is your thought for the day:
Attempting to create shaved ice by grating ice cubes with a cheese grater does not work, and attempting to do so will cause your friends to mock you mercilessly for months. True story.

| Here's a bizarre thought of the day -
So there've been these crazy rumours swirling around this past week about brutal stabbings going on in the McGill Ghetto (where I live)...to the point where there's a huge facebook group and we got e-mails from McGill telling people to be careful. While still being cautious, I tend to think that the stories are probably greatly exaggerated. The consistant story is that two women were stabbed between school and Ave du Parc, and another stabbed and killed on Hotel de Ville by a mentally disturbed man...but I searched for a good 20 minutes and have failed to see anything reported in the papers or on the internet or anything. One blurb in the Gazette about how they were investigating rumours that were going around...but you'd think if someone was brutally murdered in area like here there would at least be some mention of it in the paper. In any case I am being careful and sticking to the main streets and trying not to walk alone after 11pm, all that good stuff.
Anyway so I was reading the livejournal montreal community's thread on this, and one girl posted saying that she was UPSET that all the warnings were telling women to be careful, instead of telling MEN not to go around stabbing people.
And I thought...bring on the crazy feminazis. Only in Montreal.

| My brain is so full I feel like it's about to explode, and I have a sudden, inexplicable urge to do something incredibly mindless, like watch 7 full seasons of America's Next Top Model, or any other trashy reality show. Back to back.
But must buckle down instead!

But must buckle down instead! | I love it when I have the opportunity to do something completely mindless. Opportunities like that are few and far between for most college students.

| haha I know...
tonight would be one of those times, except that I let my room get into a despicable state and thus have to spend the night cleaning...hoorah!
It's a gloriously beautiful day. I'm wearing a t-shirt and sandals.
I also had a final exam today that went well for the most part - largely because the prof let us go for 3 and a half hours - otherwise I would have run out of time like crazy. I felt most of my answers were good but I did manage to make the most idiotic mistake I could find...I drew a graph containing negative proportions...that violates basic basic stats rule #3 (right behind "Correlation is not causation" and "Please for the love of God don't extrapolate") - "Proportions are never, ever, negative". Oh well - beyond that I think I answered all the questions at least well enough to get an A- in the course and hopefully an A, we shall see...haha.
Now I'm allowing myself to relax by sitting out in the sun....I was going to bring a fun to read book to read in the sun, but I forgot.
I'm so wiped...haha.

| So -
Tonight I danced the Highland Fling while my Econometrics Professor (Who looks like Santa Claus) played the bagpipes.
This was not some weird exam stress induced hallucination - it really happened.
