| 'Allo, everyone! My, isn't it so...cloudy today. Hmm.
Hope everybody's having a GREAT weekend; I sure am! I seriously need to update...prepare for long entry... Yesterday
I woke up...fell out of bed...dragged a comb across my head...(if anyone can name that song, you'll be my best friend) So anyway, woke up at 7:30 to "In Love With the 80's" ( ), took a shower, got dressed in my Awana uniform, ate breakfast, and a bit later in the morning, we headed out. We ended up being about 20 minutes late.
So we got there, and the whole place was roped off to cars because of the children's fair. My dad and I were dropped off and we made our way to my church's booth. Who should we meet on the way but MY GRAMPA!?!?! Ha ha. Later he came over to our booth, all the kids there made such a good impression on him...not. An acquaintance of mine (who I'll call Bill) and one of my friend's little brothers were running around stabbing each other with balloon swords. Niiiiiice. How mature.
Afterwards, me and my best friend (who I'll call Genevieve) went around handing out "goodie bags" to the kiddies. Fun fun fun, except I am terrible at those kinds of things, where you have to walk up to total strangers and ask them something. Whereas Bill...oh, we'll come to that later.
So me and Genevieve ended up giving away all of the bags, and I only ended up painting 2 kids' faces!!!!! I thought I did a pretty good job on them, myself...
The songs and puppet skits were probably the least successful venture of the day. During the songs, we probably had four kids in all come over, and the puppets weren't much better. For one thing, the kids couldn't hear what the puppets were saying, which kind of took away from the fun. But me and Genevieve had a blast doing all the motions to the songs. It was pretty freakin' awesome.
By far the highlight of the day for me was going around with Gen and Bill (remember him, 4of5???? "clean", tall, quite talkative?), when he was doing balloon animals. My gosh, he's good at entertaining. By the time he'd gone around and made 75% of the children's fair balloon animals, I basically had his routine memorized: "I'm a crazy man making balloon animals, does anyone want one? Ah, you do, now what would you like? I can make swords, flowers (quite manly), hats, horses that look like dogs, cats that look like dogs, and dogs that look like dogs. [most kids wanted cats or dogs, but he did make one girl a cobra]" Then he'd go into his monologue while he was making it about how he was a vampire, but blood made him sick to his stomach, so he'd just drink tomato juice. (I was finishing this part for him by the end) He'd also tell the kids not to listen to me or Gen, because we thought he was crazy, then I'd tell them not to listen to him, because he was in denial of his insanity and his head was actually filled with cement. (loooooong story behind that one) Since he wasn't an excellent balloon animal maker, he always had to explain why the animal looked like it did. "It was blown up by a sea mine", "It had a bee sting on its nose", "Its tail got smashed in a door". It was a heck of a lot of fun. If only he could've dropped the Russian accent, more people could've understood everything he was saying...
Anyway, a fun time was had by all (I hope, heh heh), even though it was cloudy and sprinkling most of the time. I even got to talk to Spiderman. He denied my goodie bag.
Afterwards, we all went to Dairy Queen. Then I had to go to the mall...*sigh* At least I slept wonderfully. This morning
In fact, I slept so wonderfully that I did not. want. to. get. out. of. bed. Of course, I had to...*sighs again*
Church was pretty fun, though. Had my weekly ping-pong game with some buddies, got to read a poem Bill wrote about a battle between the Brits and the Scots, and I ALMOST got to got to lunch with one of my bffs. *sighs for the third time* So tonight's Awana. Pray for me, guys.
I got to get off, so y'all reply now, ya hear?
With all tangible hopes of best wishes,
Vic |

| Your last big post made me giggle. You have some nice writing skillz, a way with words, or something like that. *grin* I should remember to come here more often.
Dragged a comb across my head! Found my way downstairs and drank a cup... and looking up, I noticed I was late. Goodness, I love that song. Now it'll be stuck in my head all day. But that's okay, because I'm your new best friend, right? Right? |

| RK101--yah, it was a total blast!!!!
gollum--ditto...
4of5--once again, I'm doing fine and don't worry, he's still very clean...
RK_L: I just don't want to go around giving out names of people I know and such...this IS the internet...and no, it's not "Show and Tell", sorry...
Emii: Not much is up! (besides all those clouds, sheesh... )
canguru: thank you kindly! danke! gracias!! And DING DING DING DING DING!!! You are my new best friend!! for those of you who didn't know, that was "A Day in the Life" by the one the only THE BEATLES.
RK_L again: I did post in your journal! go check it out!!!!
So, it's Tuesday. Awana went great, we played this weird game called "Airplane". Anyone played it? And I got to watch part of the video of our Wednesday and Saturday programs...how embarassing.
Not a whole lot is happening this week, aside from group lessons in piano last night, my schedule has been empty. But I do have a little prayer request: I met this girl who's my age at my grandparent's open house a few months ago, and I just got off the phone with her. Her family hasn't been living here that long (they're starting a church) and I'm really hoping I'll get to know her better and we can become great friends.
Till next time,
Vic (<--this belongs to first poster ) |

Yeah, she's going to come to one of our youth group events. I'm hoping it'll go well.
Well, I'm very psyched, because I'm pretty sure I figured out how to play the piano using chord charts!!!!!! It's incredibly boring to play it that way ( ) and I can't play quite all of the chords, but maybe this means the lady who runs our Jr. High/Sr. High worship will give me a second chance! If so, that mean's I'll be the only person under 16 in the group...
Hope y'all are having a good day,
Vic |
