| Hello all.
It's dark outside, so I'm going into night mode. So if I say something stupid, please forgive me.
Today was fine, nowhere near as exciting as yesterday. School went by really quickly, so I spent the rest of the day working on Awana, surfing the net, etc. And I just finished practicing the piano. (A downside of being a more advanced student: you have to practice for at least an hour. )
i2i last night went pretty well, I think. In my group, we had like eleven people, with 2 leaders. We got into some interesting discussions about God and how we (and others) view Him. Isn't it true that a lot of times, we make ourselves believe stuff about God? Like that He'll make us happy, or He wouldn't let something "like that" happen to us? But when people DO believe that, they're in for mighty big disappointment when life proves otherwise. Pretty deep stuff. On the lighter side, we were talking about how we think of God. By the end we had His description down to this: He has a white beard, His hair's curly, He has a big stick and wears a toga.
Anyways, to answer 4of5's question, my favorite one song would have to be...uhhhhhh...hmmmm...at the moment, "IDBWOYFD". Can anyone figure out what that song is?....I'd like to hear everyone else's too.
Best wishes,
Vic (I promise that is the last time I will use the root beer smilie. Maybe.) |

| Aww what's so bad about practicing for an hour? C'mon! 3 hours at least
BTW I love the rootbeer smilie!
we people do tend t omake ourselves believe stuff about God that isn't true. Especially when we "limit" or "put God in a box." He's so much bigger than our human minds can comprehend.
I don't have a favorite song. Soz! ^.^ |

| Piano for an hour? That's nothing! (I only used to practice for 30 minutes! )
That's a deep discussion; I wonder why people long ago decided that God has white hair; wouldn't it be cool if it was rainbow-colored?
I checked, and the song isn't RK; maybe you could give us a hint?
My fave song is definitely "Pressing On"!!!

I guess an hour just seems like a while sometimes. Some days it flies by, other times it just drraaaaagggggsssss ooonnnnnnn.
A hint, hmmmm. Okay, it's not Relient K, and the first word is "It's". 4of5 would know, but he's not on right now. |

Are you taught by a real piano teacher? I was primarily self-taught....Maybe that's my problem
What pets do you have? (if any; no siblings included please! )

| It's 4:38 PM here in the great Northwest, and I'm left with nothing better to do than hop on over to CGR. That's kind of sad...I should be reading a book. Right now my reading is The Princess Bride: S. Mortgensen's Classic Tale of True Love and High Adventure. It's the abridged "good parts" version though. Anyone else read it?
So tomorrow's our Awana's big program thingy at a local children's fair. Praying for sun, praying that another member of our puppet team doesn't disappear off the face of the planet ( ), praying that I'll remember the song motions, and praying that I don't screw up a kid's face painting. I've had no practice whatsoever, so I'm really crossing my fingers here. *crosses fingers so hard they are in knots* Ok, I need help...
I'll update later.
With all tangible feelings of best wishes for all,
Vic (<--since Emii says she loves it, it's going to be there. Hmph.) |

I found out yesterday it's from a quote in Lord of the Rings. I thought it sounded familiar. Yeah, I could listen to that song all day... And I know how awesome Define the Great Line is...but this was my first UO song...I finally figured out yesterday it's about a car crash...
Oooh, today's the big day. Feelings of excitement are beginning to rise in my innermost being. The thing I'm worried about with the face painting is that I'll do it and it won't really look like anything. Or that I'll start off too big and have to undo it all, or do it so small that people can't even tell what it is...oh well. Pray for me, PLEASE.
See y'all later,
Vic |
