All right my last attempt at a blog failed miserably so I am starting anew.

Hello. My name is Nik. I am in college and I live in the giant state of Texas (I ride my horses to school after I milk my cows in the morning(just kidding)) I am currently using too many parentheses.

Hopefully this blog will be more successful than both my last blog and my spelling.

I have a myspace and another blog where I mainly post video blogs.

The thing I am angry about as of now:
I live in a big city, yet none of the movie theatres are showing any of the movies I want to see. Instead they are showing movies like Dragon Wars. Eastern Promises? Nope. Across the Universe? Nope. Just movies that came out at the start of the summer and and other B, wait scratch that C, movies.

Today has been fantastic, the weather is so nice outside! It's one of those days where it's warm outside, but then a cool breeze comes up and keeps you from sweating. Aka it feels like fall! I got the new Motion City Soundtrack cd and it is quite excellent. I have also refallen in love with The Frames. It's a good day.

I thought it would probably be a good idea to post some stuff about me in here so people can know more about me if they want to:

- I'm a freshman in college and I have no idea what I want to major in

- Some of My Favorite Bands: I used to be one of those relient K kids, but now I shiver when I think about that. I love Weezer, Brand New, Motion City Soundtrack, Aaron Hale, Playradioplay, Driver F, and my girlfriend thinks that I like Hellogoodbye but I just pretend to because she likes them so much. My favorite band is probably Sigur Ros though because they are fantastic.

- I often get hooked on a song and will listen to it repeatedly throughout the day, today's song is "Closer" by Josh Radin

- I make alot of spelling mistakes

- Some of My Favorite Movies: Forest Gump, Charlie Brown Christmas, Life is Beautiful, It's a Wonderful Life, The Prestige, Cast Away, Big, Robin Hood (The Disney One), and Aladin

- I love winter, but last winter our heater broke and it was impossible for me to get warm except at school and work which stunk

- My favorite book of all time is The Five People You Meet in Heaven, but I also loved Harry Potter, and especially loved Animorphs when I was younger

- I'm going to end this because it really is getting too long, I'll post more another day

Biology amazes me. What amazes me more is that I have made two A's and one B on my Bio tests so far! And an A on an Algebra test, and an A on a History test! I still haven't recieved my grade for my first english essay so maybe that will be my downfall.

The Office started last night and it was good I really miss Lost. In all seriousness I think life is better when it is on because I know that no matter how bad school is, no matter how many headaches work gives me, and no matter what life throws at me I can escape from it all for one hour every week and through myself into a fantasy land. It is quite excellent and Isuggest it to everyone.

I have become mildly obsessed with Scrubs (the show, not the apparel)

I also get hooked on a certain song and will play it all day, although when I am driving people around in my car this tends to become a dangerous habit!

Haha, well when you work two jobs and you've spent the last two weekends working and haven't had time for much else, and you have homework to do, and your parents are complaining that you're never home, and your girlfriend is complaining that you work too much, and you put your itunes on shuffle and a sad song comes on the word is always going to be a sucky place.

I think my blog entries should be longer too, but the facts are that my life probably isn't near interesting enough to put into words and sometimes I do type up alot of stuff but decide it wouldn't be interesting to other people and I erase it. Or sometimes I'll type up something and I'll think that I might regret that statement later then I'll erase it.

My song repetition gets me into trouble with others in the car too haha: conversation between girlfriend and me:
"Nik didn't we hear this song a few songs ago?"
"What? No, I'm pretty sure the ipod's on shuffle (knows ipod isn't on shuffle though"
"Oh, well I'll flip the song since we already heard this one then"
"No you'll wear out the buttons"

In other news, Trans Siberian Orchestra is of course coming this year and I've gotten screwed the last two years and haven't been able to see them. Here's what happened the first year: I was working at Chickfila and I told my manager and friend that we should go see them and he was like "Yeah". So I asked a whole bunch of other people at work and they said they would want to go too. The tickets were really cheap that year, only $17 each as opposed to the $50 this year. So my manager collects the money from everybody and goes to get the tickets, but we had forgotten about the dumb service charges so it was going to be more like $30 a ticket. My manager doesn't buy the tickets and he asks everybody if they still want to go and everybody is like "nah". So I don't want to go by myself so I decide I'll just try again the next year. Then it turns out that the night they came my manager and some other people decided impromptu to go. And they didn't call me (it was my idea to go in the first place) and they told me about how awesome it was and naturally I was ticked. This year I'm determined to go though! Nobody can stop me!

This seems long enough I think.

My one complaint is that God made days with only 24 hours when we clearly need atleast twice as many in a day.

When I get paid I divide everything up from the paycheck and save a percentage for college and gas, pay my car insurance, tithe, etc. I'm usually pretty good at keeping up with all my deposits and stuff but lately I've been so busy that I just haen't had time to do it and now I'm trying to balance my bank statement and I'm off by a whole lot of money and I can't figure out what happened. I've seriously spent almost two hours just trying to find out what I did wrong and I can't find it. Please say a quick prayer that I will find it.

Yesterday I was working at the skate park and this kid climbed up the new half pipe so he could slide down it. It should be noted that there are no stairs on the half pipe yet so we have to use a ladder to move up and down it. Well the kid gets up there (he was probably 12 or 13 years old) and discovers that he has a fear of heights. I spent an hour trying to convince the kid to come down. I offered to slide down with him, showed him how easy and fun it is, offered to find some rope that he could hold onto while he slid down, and did pretty muche everything I could think of. Eventually he came back down the ladder (the more dangerous of the two options) and everything was fine. It was hard not to laugh while it was happening though.

Well I don't really have anything else to talk about at the moment, I hope anybody who reads this is doing well!

At This Moment:
I am putting off working on an english paper, but I'll have to start soon because I have to go to work at six

My body is suffering from two things, one is a bump on my left tricep that has been coming and going for the past couple of days, the other is a hair that quite literally is growing out of the middle of my forehead in no man's land. I pulled said hair out a month ago and it returned today, I once again pulled it out.

I have an incredibly messy room that makes even myself want to pick it up.

I should be registering for the SAT seeing as this is the last day to register for the December 1st test without paying the late fee.

I am wearing two shirts, a short sleeve blue shirt and a long sleeve brown shirt under that. It was cold this morning, now it is hot.

I am listening to Weezer's American Gigilo, it is good for listening.

So today I'm going to the myspace music tour Say Anything/ Hellogoodbye concert. Hopefully it will be good. And tomorrow I'm going to see one of my favorite bands (Driver F) and that will be good for sure. I will definitely video blog the weekend because it will be fun.

In other news this guy I worked with joined the Marines and left for basic training in August and he came back last night. He's alot different, like he used to be really loud and talk alot, but he didn't say anything to me last night except hello. It's weird. I'm not surprised though since basic training is basically where you go to get broken down emotionally and physically and then rebuilt into a soldier. But isn't it sad that we have to do that in order to protect our country?

I'm a little worried about my grades, I'm going to get an A in Albebra and English for sure, but I'm not so sure about Bio and History. Hopefully I'll pull through.
