In other news this guy I worked with joined the Marines and left for basic training in August and he came back last night. He's alot different, like he used to be really loud and talk alot, but he didn't say anything to me last night except hello. It's weird. I'm not surprised though since basic training is basically where you go to get broken down emotionally and physically and then rebuilt into a soldier. But isn't it sad that we have to do that in order to protect our country?
I'm a little worried about my grades, I'm going to get an A in Albebra and English for sure, but I'm not so sure about Bio and History. Hopefully I'll pull through.
That is all, duece. | Never heard of Driver F....how would you classify them?
Man, that Bio sounds like a pain....I'm guessing you're in college? Quote:

Originally Posted by RK_lover Man, that Bio sounds like a pain....I'm guessing you're in college? | Yeah I'm in college. Well actually I'm at a community college, so it's more like highschool pt. 2. And bio is mos def a pain. I'm supposed to be finishing up my project for it right now, but......
This is my 500th post. How do I only have 500 posts? That seems really weird to me. Could have sworn I had posted at least five thousand...
My girlfriend's birthday is coming up, gifts are hard to but. I ordered this hat and scarf that she said she wanted, and I think I'm going to get her a miniature Christmas tree because she said she wanted one at one point.
I also have to get my brother a present for graduating from college. I have a very serious amount of money saved up to get him something really cool, but idk what to get him. I was thinking of getting him a Macbook, but he already has a laptop, but it's kind of old and junky (it's missing some keys).
Anyways my bio project calls, adios.

| School is over for the semester so I'll try and blog more. I made 3 A's and 1 B in bio for my first semester of college. I'm pretty ticked about the B because of the circumstances:
We had to do a project where we did a whole bunch of stuff over an assigned chapter of our book, and for extra credit we could do the same project but for a chapter out of the Bio 2 book. Since I was on track to receive an A I didn't do the extra credit that we had like three weeks to do. Then on the day that the extra credit was due my teacher changed the number of points required to get an A, which meant that now I would get an 88 in the class (not cool). She told me I could still turn in the extra credit before midnight. Unfortunately though I had to work at both of my jobs that night and had to turn in a pretty crummy extra credit. Then on the day of the final she told me that I hadn't done enough of the extra credit in order to get enough extra points to get an A but that I could turn in more. So I went home and did more, and I turned it in. And I still got a B. I'm not so much mad about getting a B as I am mad about being teased into believing that I could get an A.
That's my complaint for today. I have to eat before going to work.
Nik

| Aw, that's awful.... I guess the only good thing is that it will be a lesson on what to expect... esp. if you have to have that same instructor again.
My younger sister's fiance is in his 3rd year of college and is taking a class with an instructor who is nearly failing over half his class... even after the college told him to lighten up. AND he needs this particular course to finish his degree.

Nik | Wow. That's.....messed up!
I'd still be extremely satisfied with your grades though!
(Unrelated note: the CGR character battle is a phenomenal success! Nice thinking!)
So, how's life?

So, how's life? | Thanks, Life is okay, pretty boring. All of my friends are back in town for the Christmas break but I haven't really been able to hang out with them because I've been working so much which stinks.
Last night I was driving home from work and my windshield kept fogging up really bad. I was on my cell phone and then the call ended or something and like I looked down at my phone for like half a second and looked back up and I couldn't see anything. I then ran up the curb and swerved back off, luckily there were no cars around, and somehow I managed to not hit any trees and the only scratch is on my left front rim. I was freaking out though because I had thought that I had hit a tree. So the moral of the story is give your windshield time to defog before hitting the road!

| I just realized that I wasted the whole day doing absolutely nothing and I feel disgusted. I think my New Years resolution will be to not waste days anymore.

| Yeah mostly I was playing Duke Nukem 3D and then it was time to go to work and I was like "uh I'm disgusted with myself".
So last night I drove down the same street where I ran up on the median and woah holly crap I almost nailed a tree. I saw that my tire marks had run up into the mulch surrounding the tree and then if you look at my side mirror you can see a scratch on the very edge where it just barely scraped the tree. It's insane that I didn't loose the mirror or smash my car. From now on I'm waiting till the windshield is completely defrosted till leaving the parking lot.
In other news I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt because it's 80 degrees outside in December.....

I'm glad you and your car are okay! It's ice and snow here, with some nice freezing fog.
Btw, I just realized that I am exactly two days older than you

Btw, I just realized that I am exactly two days older than you | I'm glad we're okay too. That's awesome about your birthday! So you were one of those kids that didn't get their license till like a year after everybody else too?
Last night I went to an awesome show by a band called The Eastern Sea. Some serious musical genius going on with those guys. But it bothered me because they're really big in Austin but not so much in Houston anymore and people were talking really loud the whole time that they played. It was pretty rude. Today I'm cleaning up my house because my parents and brother are coming back into town and to be honest I haven't really done any picking up after myself.
Well back to work, Merry Christmas Eve!
Nik

| Long time no blog. So Christmas and New Year's Eve have passed and I'm sure that there is lots to discuss but I'm pretty busy today. I just thought I'd pop in and say Happy New Year to everyone and I'll fill you in on what I've been up to later.
Nik

Nik | Happy New Year's! Hope you're gonna have a great 2008! [/lamerhyme]
I'll await your update!

| Things that have happened that I have not blogged about yet:
White Elephant Party - I went to a white elephant party that was fun. I brought two gifts (my girlfriend made me pick out her gift). One was a DVD of my video blogs and the other was the action figure of that dinosaur thing from Star Wars: A New Hope that threw the Jawa of of its back. Both were a big hit. I received and R2D2 bowl and my gf ended up with a golden Mewtwo card from Burger King. We were both better off than this one kid who got a box of ☺☺☺☺☺☺ bags, literally.
Christmas - I don't feel like listing what I got, and it will probably be in a video blog soon so if you really care.....
New Year's Eve- was pretty much a bust. We just shot off fireworks with my gf's 50 year old neighbors
Winter Church Camp - Was fun. The best part was this thing that we did called praise night. It was basically a talent show sort of thing where everything had to somehow praise God. I accidentally got involved in a skit because when this kid asked me if I wanted to be in his "praise group" I thought he said "prayer group" and who can say no to being in a prayer group whilst at church camp. One thing that bothered me greatly was one of the speakers at the camp though. He was continually plugging his website, and some of the things he said were just downright untrue. For example: He was talking about how we can't do anything without God and he then proceeded to criticize Alcoholic's Anonymous, saying that it was ineffective because if you were in it then you were trying to quit drinking without the help of God. AA though involves admitting that you can't quit drinking without the help of a higher power. He obviously didn't bother to research what he was speaking about at all. And this was just one example of things that he said that didn't make any sense at all. I'm considering emailing or writing the church that hosted the camp with a complaint about it.
College - I signed up for classes. I paid for classes. I did not see an advisor, this is probably a bad idea. I'm taking trigonometry even though I'm BA and not BS and I really only need one math, but I did really really well in College Algebra so I figured I would take trig.
This is all,
Nik

| Sounds like a pretty cool holiday season....especially the white elephant party
What are your plans after college? (if I or someone else hasn't already asked)
