| Song Interpretation Okay, usually I can figure songs out, but there are a few that I'm scratching my head over. Can someone please provide an analyzation of "Jefferson Aero Plane", the RK song? It's kinda obvious it's about a relationship, but the part about eating cereal and staring out the window has me going:
Thanks to anyone who replies! |

| Should go in the Relient K forum...but yeah...
It's basically a breakup song. All the stuff about eating cereal and staring out the window has to do with the mood of the guy in the song. Obviously, he's down, because he's just gone through a breakup.
Another thing-the name of the song actually comes from a band, which is referenced in the song, Jefferson Airplane. The guy in the song listens to Jefferson Airplane music to get through his breakup.

| Thanks for the insight.
And I didn't put this in the Relient K forum because I have questions about some other songs too, and maybe there are others who want stories behind songs/music videos. Like I'm not quite sure what the Underoath "Writing on the Walls" music video is about. Was that guy in the attic murdered or what? And what's with the crooked house with such small rooms? I'm sure there's meaning... |

| I think that questions about individual songs/videos from artists should go in their respective forums. I'll send this over to the Relient K forum. |

| Pretty much all music videos are sorta abstract (Be My Escape, Who I Am...), but some like Must Have Done Something Right are straight-forward.
Song-wise, if you listen to the lyrics closely enough, you can usually figure out the basic point. Esp with RK; their songs are usually easily understood. Skeeter hit J.A. right on the head, but if you have any more, feel free to ask

| None of the pre-MMHMM Relient K videos have a point. I think... except maybe "My Girlfriend." |

| Ohhhh man, I never watched the whole thing of "My Girlfriend". I probably should soon...
I agree about the abstract video thing. And there's something about the Be My Escape video that reminds me of Star Wars Episode IV... |

I gave up trying to figure out music videos long ago
Some of the songs are very abstract because they have to do with personal experiences/thoughts that only the songwriter knows anything about, so if they don't divulge the real meaning, who knows for sure... |

Agreed, katmetal. Some are just...weird. It'd be interesting to sit down with bands to see how they got their ideas. |

| Yeah, that's true. I find it interesting haw bands get their name too; Reliant K, for example. Named after the guitarists Plymouth K car. - Now that's funny! If I did that, my band's name would be "AMC Hornet Station Wagon"! |
