Since I have spent 19 years' worth of nights spending nothing on nobody, that adds up to a tidy sum. Because, if 0 continues in exponents to an unpredictable degree, that degree cannot be measured. If a number- even 0- is carried on to an immeasurable degree, it becomes an irrational number that cannot/does not exist.
Therefore, I am the most lavish person you could possibly date. Each night that I have not been on a date can also be counted as a date night, since it was intimate, one-on-one time with me. To this effect, I have gone on 6,935 dates, spending an infinite (unpredictable/immeasurable) exponent of $0 on every single date. This adds up to a lump sum, collectively and individually, of $∞.
Conclusion: I spend an absolutely unlimited amount of money on every date. | I guess what I want to know now is how you've figured out how to live for 6,935 days without ever paying for anything? Because that's the only way your reasoning computes... Perhaps this just gives some of us a window into the reason why (so far) you haven't been on any dates with other people....???

| Simple: If the idea of spending money is restricted to spending money on dates, as it is in this thread, the definition of spending money shifts. Since the context given the phrase "spending money" in this thread is equal to "spending money [on a member of the opposite sex while on a date]" then my equation still works.

Right there you have just spent 6+ hours of your hard-earned cash.
Besides, if you're not spending $100+ on every date... she's going to leave you anyways.
Oh, wait. That was one of my exes.
But in all seriousness, it's been so long since I've been on a date that my estimate may be a bit off, but I'd say $20 - $40 depending on where we went and what we did.

I haven't been on a "date", but I've been to the movies with friends.
Last time I went it cost $7.50 for a movie, and about $3.00 for a drink, and about $5.00 for a popcorn. That works out to about $26. There are a few variables there...whether you go for candy...or popcorn + the price of gas. I'd say between $25 and $35 is a good estimate.
Then again...you can save a bundle if you buy two 20oz. pops ahead of time, and sneak 'em in. Then it's about $.99 a piece. Save even more by bringing your own snacks... or
You could rent a movie ($2.50), pop your own popcorn (under $1.00), and use a 2 liter of pop ($.99) and you get the same thing for $5.00 + the price of gas. Doesn't have to be expensive if your strapped for cash. |

However, the movie theatre here costs almost $10 a ticket... so that's not really an exaggeration. Oh, and I live in central Texas.
