| POD contributes to sexual song So, I was flipping through the channels, and what do I come across? Something to still my beating remote: POD backing vulgar witless comedian Carlos Mencia in a song about a superhero named after a Mexican stereotype. At one point in the song, Carlos references a vulgar fabricated sexual move, and also references performing a sexual act on a woman using a well-known slang term. POD does backing vox and rock in the background.
I'm curious. After defending POD as they put up a Rasta Christ on their albums, after defending POD after they had a Rastafarian priest sing on a song of praise to his god, after the secular press remarked with a straight face that POD practiced a mix of Christianity, Judaism, and Rastafarianism...are any of the POD fans here going to defend POD for recording a vulgar song?

| I am/was? a P.O.D. fan & I hate this kind of crap. Why do bands always sell out like this? If you're gonna call yourself "Christian", you better walk the walk.... |

| That is really sad. I'm not a huge fan of their music, but honestly...
As a side note, why does every Carlos Mencia joke have to use the slang term for Mexican? And why is he so chronically unfunny?

| very dissapointing, never been a huge fan, but now i have definetly lost a lot of respect for them.
I hope they go down from this, maybe if they're like this, there is more to the departure of Truby, but i'm just starting rumour.
Dang.

| That happened?!
Wow. Not to long ago, they just performed at Greg Laurie's Harvest Crusade. I'll be praying for them. The lyrics to their songs have helped me with my Christian walk.

| I remember someone on this board posting an article in which the members of the band stated that they don't sleep with groupies because they wanted to save themselves for their wives.

| That's one of the dumbest things they could have done when you think about all the impressionable kids and teens that look up to them.
