| So I went home early today on account of not feeling good. Turned out the nurse wanted to see me. Well, I just hope I'm not running down with the flu.

| Yeah. The biggest suck factor is that I don't think I'll be doing much singing for until I'm better. Nothing much has been happening musically anyway.

| So, my mom did something nice for me today...bought me some skinny jeans. They're pretty good too. They're not from Hot Topic, but I like them. All I need to do is get a belt.
Also been thinking about stereotypical people that I may be growing up. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I'll need more time to think about this.

| Well, today Im doing more relaxing and homework. So just earlier, my dad joked around with me being sick saying 'you sure look sick' and then laughs.
Also, tomorrow I have to take the SATs again. I had a practice for it, but I kinda feel like I'm shooting in the dark.

| Today I finally finished those SATs. I may have to take it again for some odd reason. I also just learned that my bro is jamming with his friend. I kinda feel left out and with nothing much to do. Well, let's see what happens before I overdramatize.

| Well, yesterday my parents and bro got into a fight and then made up the next day. But I feel like I should've left the house when I had the chance yesterday when the fight broke out, and come back an hour later when the fight was over. Honestly, I feel like I have no free will. It's always staying home and doing nothing.
And my parents are always around my life too much. I feel like I have a need to rebel. Nothing big, but just a little rebellion. I just don't want my life to end up like a joke.

| You have a point. I guess I'm just tired of having my parents following me around trying to be a 'guide' and makes me feel so damn annoyed. And no matter what I do, my mom is always on my back nagging me and won't give me space. Maybe it's not so much a joke, but rather pathetic how my life is turning out. I mean, I can't drive, I don't have my own place to live, I feel like I'm not realizing my full potential with my parents constantly weighing me down. I feel, if that keeps happening, I'll never get far in life.

This much I will tell you.
Once you get out on your own its hard. Heck. I don't know if I am utilizing my full anything. I go to class, eat, sleep, and if I am lucky put an instrument part way together.
Driving, you can do in time.
Do you have college plans? |

| Sorta. I'm starting to apply for some colleges. I've just been trying to put things on timeout so I can get a breather and think about where to go, since I'm not sure if my parents can afford one of my dream colleges, Berklee College of Music. Quote: |

| No. I needed the time to collect my thoughts so maybe sometime soon should be a good time. Quote: |

| I'm just scared that longer I wait to drive, the chances of me being nervous behind the wheel would increase, unless I get a good driving instructor. I'm also jealous that my friends have cars and I don't which means they can do whatever they need to do without relying on their parents. It's kinda dependancy related why I need to be away from my parents.

I had to do that. Yes, it is not pleasant, but if your parents are willing to help pay for school at all, be thankful for that. They may drag you down in some ways, but that is a good toss upwards.
Remember that as an adult, on your own, nobody owes you anything. Not food, not shelter, not healthcare, nothing. You are on your own. In a lot of ways that is what maturity and adulthood mean. Are you ready to handle that? Quote: |

| Cars are also a giant ball and chain. There is paying for them, maintenance, gas, insurance, etc. They eat a giant chunk of change. While I would reccomend learning to drive, cars are not all they are cracked up to be. |

| I agree with BSPE.
Being eighteen and living on my own hours away from anyone I once knew is not a walk in the park. Attending school full time and searching for a job while bills must be paid and the place must always be cleaned is not fun either.
It's an incredibly huge responsibility, and I would seriously advise you not to go leaping at it anytime soon if it's not necessary. I am fortunate to have a small bit of financial assistance from my parents on occasion and many people willing to take care of me in terms of making sure I have what I need to live. It helps, but I promise it still is not a blast.
Honestly, I would still rather hear my mother nag me daily about ridiculous things if I knew there was to be plenty of food available at all times, a secure roof over my head, someone to do my laundry for free, and all the other luxuries which come as a result of living at home. |

| Finally back at school. I'm starting to feel much better today. English class was a little interesting today. We started defining words like suicidal tendancies, depression and family dysfunction. There all themes in a book that we're reading. Family Dysfunction really stuck out to me--like I may be experiencing it with my folks.
