| Two pictures.
The first was taken at about 3 in the morning. My brother had called me to pick him up from a party, and I had to pull myself out of bed. My phones camera button is on the side, so I must have hit it when I was on the phone, and again when it was closed or something. I don't know how it happened, but my bedhead makes me laugh, so it's all good.
The second was taken at Folk Fest (you can see, I am laying on a big rainbow blanket, which my family calls "the rainbow blanket") and I had stolen my girlfriends glasses.

| It's not the best picture of my face, but it's what I have.
I was working on a film crew back east for a good chunk of my summer, and this was the camera that I was using to shoot the behind-the-scenes stuff. |

So really, "What is the air speed velocity of an unlaiden swallow?"
It's quite simple:
Drag on a body in a fluid is:
D = 1/2 (Cd*pi*r^2*rho*Vo^2) Cd = coefficient of drag of the swallow pi = 3.1415... r = radius of bird cross-section (approximating as a circle) rho = viscosity of air Vo = velocity For steady state flight, D (drag) = T (thrust), so:
------------------------------
| Vo = sqrt(T/Cd*pi*r^2*rho) |
------------------------------ |

THERE WAS A PARTY, AND EVERYONE WANTED TO BE AS COOL AS ME.
The hat was a rather bleak imposition of the host's choosing. Of course, it was a New Years party...
