Well the Big XII did surprisingly well except for the team that won the conference. Go figure.

Now i hope voters realize that if there was going to be a split championship it would have to be 5 ways.(UGA,USC,WVU,KU,and the winner of OSU/LSU)Which is totally absurd. But more absurd would be giving a split championship to just USC and the winner of OSU/LSU.Further proof of need of a playoff system but it just doesnt make sense to split the championship.(Especially 5 ways.)

Oh yeah....ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!

I'm not sure when/if a playoff system emerges, but year after year outcomes make it clear that one is needed. KU sure played as a team last night and I was quite proud of the Big 12 as a whole. I still agree that Mizzou was dissed when they weren't invited to a BCS game, and they sure took out that frustration on Arkansas. I can also see a sceniario where the final AP poll could end up placing a one-loss Kansas team at #2 and Mizzou (who only lost to one team, albeit 2 times) lower, even though they defeated Kansas! There 's too much controversy, and if Divison II, III, all the other sports in NCAA decide with a playoff, there is really no excuse.

I still think you can involve 4 BCS bowl games, using a similar system of computer/writers polls, (8teams) and seed them so 8 vs1, etc. The winners of those go to a final 4 to play a double header the next week, and a final game following that. The bowl system is still in play, creating the desired revenue to the host cities, and the NCAA, would enjoy additional revenue from whatever network bids for the rights to those additional 3 games. Sure there would still be teams that feel left out, but it's sure better than what happens now.

Hey, bite me! They played in a weak conference, looked like crap in a game I watched this year, and were playing a team from the Big Twelve. How was I supposed to know they were actually good? Skill position players especially can look a lot better than they are if they're playing weak opponents. Of course, I think OU is the most overrated team of the season. I mean, they lost to my team (Texas Tech) and we didn't exactly field a stellar team this season.

Shouldn't laugh so hard. We have a pre-season Heisman hopeful at WR (who was a true freshman this year). We have one of the best offenses in the country when we're on and everyone on our offense is coming back except one receiver (and we have no shortage of good ones!). Additionally, we're in the middle of the best recruiting in the history of our program right now, on both sides of the ball.

That I can't deny. We have two weaknesses: offensive consistency and run defense. And our defense is going to be a lot better next year than this year. We just need to fix that first problem, and it will truly be very difficult for anyone to beat us.

It's OU in a BCS game. What else are they going to do but choke?

Yeah, I agree that next year could be the best Tech team ever. Especially because of Harrell. This is the first time we have had the same quarterback for more than one year in forever. I'll believe it when I see it though.
