Shane & Shane Release Pages Today

What They’re Saying:

“A Poetic Gift”

“An Experience”

“The Kind of Music that Heaven Savors”

“Lyrical and Musical Mastery”

SHANE & SHANE RELEASE PAGES TODAY, 1ST NEW STUDIO ALBUM IN THREE YEARS LAUNCHES AMIDST CRITICAL ACCLAIM
----------------------------
Shane & Shane Tours 70-Plus Cities Before Nov. 12!

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) August 28, 2007— Best-selling Inpop Records duo and one of the most sought after bands on college campuses and beyond, Shane & Shane, releases today its first studio album in nearly three years, the critically acclaimed Pages.

Recorded at Shane & Shane’s very own Spaceway Studios in Dallas, TX, here is what the critics are saying:

“A POETIC GIFT…these guys are great writers/musicians…Pages confirms what fans of Shane Barnard and Shane Everett already knew; they are worshipful, reflective, reverent and poetic. Their blend of songwriting, instrumentation and heart makes Pages more than just another CD. It is an experience.” – CCM (9/07)

“Pages represents a big jump forward for Shane & Shane… their latest album represents a leap in quality…Always honest, always profound, Shane Barnard and Shane Everett make the kind of music that Heaven savors.” -- INFUZE (8/15/07)

“Enveloped by the double-Shane yearning vocals that are as rich as they are melodic, their usual acoustic passion drips from every lyric and guitar strum, but this time we get a little more alternative aggression than before. It works well because the guys stay true to their melodic style and often follow their forays of distortion with gentle musical post-scripts that work like little musical apologies.” – Worship Leader (9/07)

“…[Shane & Shane] continue to deliver lyrical and musical mastery on their sixth album.” -- CBA Retailers+Resources (8/07)

Shane & Shane and band play at Belmont University’s Curb Event Center in Nashville Aug. 22.

“This duo continues to offer the acoustic-based melodies and reflective lyrics fans have come to expect and relish.” – Charisma (10/07)

“Shane & Shane pull a praise-and-worship polish into strummy, vaguely funky pop that comes off like the middleground between Chris Tomlin and Dave Matthews.” – The Tennessean (8/22/07)

One of the industry’s biggest concert draws, Shane & Shane will be playing new songs from Pages and other fan favorites spanning its repertoire of hits in 70-plus concerts scheduled between now and Nov. 12. Widely known for its engaging live performance, the duo headlines its fall, 50-plus-city Pages Tour with co-headliner Bebo Norman. The tour began Aug. 21, and runs through mid-November. In addition to its own headline tour, Shane & Shane will be playing select dates with Third Day’s Mac Powell and David Nasser on the Glory Revealed tour, as well as select dates with MercyMe. See the newly re-launched website, www.shaneandshane.com, for all the latest tour dates and more.

Shane & Shane’s sixth album, Pages, features 13 impassioned songs, plus a bonus track, and was co-produced by Shane Everett and Shane Barnard alongside Will Hunt (Bethany Dillon, Shawn McDonald, Robbie Seay Band). Pages was named for a reference to the journal pages on which Barnard wrote much of the album and features the radio single, “We Love You Jesus.”

Shane Everett and Shane Barnard formed the duo Shane & Shane soon after a mutual friend asked Everett if Barnard could borrow a guitar for a concert in 1997. In December 2001, they signed with Inpop Records, home to such notable acts as newsboys, Superchick, Mat Kearney, Tree63 and others. Since then, the acoustic-guitar wielding pair has become a college-circuit favorite with five label releases to its credit, hundreds of thousands of albums sold, Dove Award nominations, plus countless hours logged on the road, including headlining tours with Mat Kearney, David Crowder Band, Bethany Dillon, Robbie Seay Band, among others. The duo can also be found leading worship for the college bible study at Grand Prairie Bible Church in Grand Prairie, TX.
