| Another 36-hour shift underway for Art, another boring night for yours truly. Except for watching those fireworks from the front of our apartment earlier tonight. That was kind of fun for ten minutes.
I have a lovely headache, and all I've had to eat all day was the half of a Subway turkey sandwich left over from our trip yesterday, and some noodles I'd left in the freezer for a couple of weeks. Yum. Art had three pieces of french toast and a scrambled egg when he came home for a quick break between day and night shifts, though. Maybe I should've stolen half a piece off of what I made for him. Heh.
Oh, and I wish I had enough hair to tie back in a ponytail. I have just enough hair for two pigtails now, and even then I can't tie back much of the hair that winds up in my face. I think I'm going to try and grow my hair now. It was fun short, but I miss my longer hair. I don't necessarily want waist-length locks. Just enough that I can brush it past my shoulders or tie it up in a ponytail if I so desire.
Okay, time for food and ibuprofen.

| Was it pepper-crusted turkey? Soooo much better than normal turkey...
And it creeps me out that some of my male friends have grown out their hair and regularly wear it in ponytails. Bleh.

| Well, it's just hair. I mean, if they realize they can't get chicks, they might get the idea... Quote:

In pinky finger updates, the area under scab I peeled off last week has healed quite well. Only a little too pink compared to the rest of the surrounding skin. I have been applying (vitamin A) lotion to it, much like I do to my biglong appendectomy scar. It looks pretty good compared to what it looked like two weeks ago.
I watched a movie I'd been curious about for some time, Better Luck Tomorrow. It had a huge buzz in the Asian community when it first came out, mostly because the entire starring cast consists of Asians and the director (Justin Lin) is Chinese. It was... not what I expected, after having read a few reviews and forming ideas in my head. And it's certainly not a movie for the queasy, as there is some violence and movie-gore involved, among other things. But I kind of liked it. I certainly didn't dislike it. I have a gripe about the ending, but I think I know where Lin was going with what he did.
Anyhow. I should have more anime coming up soon.
ANDAND. The biggest one of all.
I got a randomish phone call about an hour ago. I think most of you know I've been looking for employment with no luck. Well, the phone call was from a contact I'd made at Macy's. She was wondering if I wanted to work a "night short" shift in cosmetics. Yes, it'll be minimum wage, and yes, "night short" means I won't be working a whole lot of hours, but any extra money is quite welcome around here right now. I'm going to call her back in just a couple of minutes.

| All right, my name is in the pool. She's going to call me back and set up an interview. The good news is, this lady seems to like me, so that might provide me a slight edge over any other candidates. The other thing that might help is the fact that my entire schedule is a practically clean slate, so if I do well in this position, I could get a promotion to full-time.
I'd better toss my dressier workish clothes in the wash tonight. They have a few wrinkles from just sitting around. Heh.

| Just the n00bs, now? Man, I'm slipping.

In other news, we're watching I Survived A Japanese Game Show. These guys are such little... ugh. They shunned the lovely Japanese breakfast a lady came in and made for them. It looked freaking delicious. Miso soup, fish flakes over spinach, tofu and veggies. Man. Looking at that made me hungry.
