As for Gamespy with AoE2, I'm not sure, check your router/firewall settings. For the playing part, if anyone decides they don't wanna play, want to take their place? The only reason I say this is because I don't have a clue how to do a seven-player tourney . Or, if nothing else, it'd be cool if you could get in on the last game so it could be two teams of two or something. *Shrug*

RC, help? :P

In case of an odd number of players, round it up to the next even number, and then give one lucky person a bye (which is an instant advancement to the next round).

For the record, with a six person tourney, its easiest to give two people a bye to the next round, with the other four duking it out for the remaining two semifinal slots.

Just my two cents. You can run this however you want.

Well, perhaps next time, I guess. I'm just trying to draw on your experience . I guess the three who win the first round will all do a FFA 3-player game to decide the "champion" and win nothing fortune and fame!

You have me intrigued in a three player final match, now. I was just thinking about the diplomacy that would be involved.

This tournament ever going to get going? If so, I know how we can all play without Gamespy Arcade. Its a program called Hamachi, which is free VPN software. If everyone gets this little program (there are cross platform versions), we can all play via simulated LAN.

I would ask to join in, but it's probably too late, and my laptop doesn't have a mouse, so I'd get completely pwned....

I have Hamachi.

I think we should just try to get everyone into one big game first, just for the heck of it.

'Eh... This thing kinda died. If it is to be done, it should probably be started over. I started my match with my opponent, but we never finished it. This was fun, and I'd like to continue it/start it over. Unfortunately, I never got anyone else's results, either. So perhaps there wasn't enough real interest?

(And I agree with Andrew. We should do one big game for fun, definitely.)

I'm interested, but somebody with experience using himachi is going to have to help me out. I simply could not get it to work with the two computers in my dad's office. of course they are both retarted so maybe that was it. anyways i'd need a list of instructions or something to start up a game.
