how do i get rid of that jr. member thing under my name?
i've looked all over in my user settings, and i can't find where to change that ...help anyone?

That's because you just joined. You have to have at least (I think) 10 days of membership and at least 10 posts to change it. Then it appears under your birthdate portion of User CP.
