Lunar Eclipse Tuesday, Aug 28 (wee hours AM for NA)
Just putting this out there - the moon will be totally eclipsed by Earth on Tuesday, August 28th. It should be visible (unless it's cloudy ) for most people on the North American continent, as well as you folks in Asia and Australia. Africans, sorry...

I live in the Central Time Zone in the US and I'll be heading out there around 4:30 in the morning armed with binoculars and a telescope. You don't need binoculars or a telescope to see this, though, just your eyes will do. That, and unlike a solar eclipse (when the sun is eclipsed by the moon), a lunar eclipse is totally safe to stare directly at.
