It is fun to find you are related to some one else looking for people I have found my brother and now I have a whole new family | I've done quite a bit of research on my side of the family. I found out recently from census records that my great-grandparents were next door neighbors when they were growing up. I never knew how they met, or even wondered for that matter. I enjoy it in fits and starts. So far we have only traced back to the early 1800's for my mother's side. We lose our trail when we get to the Indian blood. Mr. M's side is much easier to trace, in fact, so many other people have traced that lineage and written books about them that it's not really very interesting for me.
Were you and your brother raised separately?

Were you and your brother raised separately? | yes In fact i never know any thing about him until my father passed away. The night before he died he told me he had another child, that was in 1983 and in 2002 I started family tree research and the brother I grew up with told me to be carefull of what I may find. So I asked my mother and she told me that my dad an affair and had this child. She told me his mothers name and everything. He had been told the truth all his life! So I started my search and found him and in june of 2003 we met for the first time. We are now the best of friends, he lives in the Sacramento area. in fact his kids were just here for the Labor Day weekend to hang out with Tim. But i was raised with a brother and sister and it has been hard for the brother I grew up with to handle. my sister lives in Oregon and she has a good friendship with him.
do you use the internet to research your family if so I know of a lot of free site to use. there are a lot of pay sites but I try to stay away from spend money! any way blessing to you and your family |

| I can't, actually, off the top of my head think of anything I collect. Well. Excepting my growing P.G. Wodehouse library.
Have you ever read anything by P.G. Wodehouse, Mrs. Tim's Mom? If not, you most definitely should.

Oh, I was doing some research into the family tree a while ago as well. The internet was where I got most of my info. The thing that I got stuck at is when my great grandmother came to New Zealand from Wales. My nan says one thing, but it doesn't fit with the ship records available so far. |
