honestly if they were not facing the single most nfluential band in Christian Rock history and perhaps the worlds greatest living guitarist they would get more support.

The world's greatest living guitarist? How about the universe's greatest living guitarist? Phil could whip any of those puny Martian shredders with his fretting hand tied behind his back.

Phil Keaggy is one extremely talented individual. Iona is several. Plus, I find Iona far more listenable than Keaggy. Neither wears yellow and black Spandex.

First of all...I love Phil Keaggy...I really do. But he is not the best guitarist in the world in my personal opinion. He has not influenced Christian music the way Stryper has.

Of course...no one in CCM had more influence than Petra.

I guess I'll go with Stryper because they, along with Petra basically created christian rock.

Minus the little detail that Stryper formed, what, 10 years after Petra came into existence?

To Hell with the Devil! I enjoy Stryper, even though it was before my time.

It's all about Stryper for me. They really made some classic songs that are hard to get out of your head. Plus, Oz Fox is king.

This may be the poll I don't vote on, I don't like any of the bands, though I havn't heard much of any of them. And I havn't heard Iona at all, I despise Joy Electric, the few songs i've heard of Stryer, suck. I heard some songs if Phil, and they really sucked.

But, I really should give some more listening.

Stryper all the way.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight.
