| Two top sirloin steaks, rubbed with Montreal steak spice, chilled for two hours and grilled to medium.
Two jumbo prawn skewers with garlic, lemon and parsley from my garden.
Parboiled potatoes, foiled and cooked with olive oil, butter and garlic chives from the garden.
zucchini and red peppers, sliced wide, brushed with olive oil and grilled.
Aw yeah, it's summer.

| Oatmeal -- just now and I'm ticked off!! We order our food from a food supply source for the vessel I work on and they sent "quick" oats. They're mush!!! I will need to go buy my own "5 minute" oats. |

| Eggplant Curry.
I had no curry paste, so I had to use turmeric & other spices as a base.
It was pretty stinking delish. |

| Last night I simmered several kinds of rice with red beans in hearty vegetable broth and sherry in lieu of water, and just a few minutes before serving added British aged cheddar, diced mushrooms, and spices (basil, oregano, etc.). It was fantastic. Were I a carnivore I think chicken breast would have gone perfectly over it.
