You know, I'm kinda going through the same thing right now. I just found out that the Cornford amp I have on order is going to be quite late. I was supposed to get it early next week. Instead, I have found out that it will be another 3 weeks before it is even shipped to the USA. This is a problem, as I am selling my Traynor, and so I will be out an amp as I start playing with my colleges chapel band in under 3 weeks. There really isn't anything that can be done though, so I'm just going to "go with the flow" and I'll borrow an amp from my church if I need to. Won't sound nearly as good, but it will still work just fine. I would recommend the same with your situation - don't let it get you all stressed out. Just make sure you will have the equipment you need for the show regardless of whether the amp comes, and let the company get everything straightened out.

That company was sold not long ago. See here.
I don't like the new website at all. I haven't purchased anything from them since the sell. I don't know if I ever will again actually.
Also, guess who owns Music123.com? Yep, the same company. Music123 is the king of warehouse moving and delayed shipping. They also own WWBW.com.

Elderly Instruments has the best service of the really big online retailers by far.
I wondered why the site changed...

this has actually been a very looong process. I have had an order placed with a DL4 along with some other smaller stuff since July 14th and i just got the same notice today. I'm trying to be patient but it does get a little ridiculous after such a long time with no backorder. I can't really place and order elsewhere b/c i had 115 in gift cards for MF so its worthless to go elsewhere. I'm content with waiting.

That's what bothers me. It's not that it's out of stock or that they can't get it. It's sitting at the warehouse. Last notice I received said it is 'being packed'. That was last Friday. So for a week it has been sitting in a box ready to ship, but hasn't shipped.

I heard back again from the MF guy and all he could tell me was that my estimated ship date was August 4th. What was your estimated date rockerclb?

Well, when you ordered, didn't you notice the big paragraph over your order list warning you they are in the process of changing their warehouse. It also gives you a ship day of when your order will probably go out, again, warning you it will take longer. If I was customer service I would ask if you could freaking read.

This is not a typical issue for them. I have ordered from MF for 10 years and always receive my order within the following week in the regular 3-to 5 days. Also, when you order, it always advises you if the item is or is not in stock. Even if you have an item on your wish list, it will change if it should go out of stock while you have it listed. It will also show you when it is back in stock.

Can you people not read or are you in such a greedy hurry that you just ignore the information that is presented.

He read the warning, which told him it would ship on August 4th...maybe you missed that.

I can read, thanks.

My problem is that after I placed my order they changed the information and told me something different. Who knows, it may still ship by the 4th. (Although the 4th is a Saturday, a day that they don't ship..hmm). As long as I have it by the 17th, i'm happy. The sooner it comes, the happier i'll be though.

Meh, bad timing.

I agree the situation sucks. But things will inevitably happen. Pray about it. Borrow someone's amp. Go forward. Move ahead. Try to detect it. It's not to late...

(see what happens when you hate on pwr chords...)

I can safely say that if MF is no longer with GC and is now owned by a very unreliable company, I am finished with them. I'll stick with good ole Sweetwater and GC.

I think that part of this whole MF acquisition by another company was via GC being bought by said company...unless I read the article wrong.

Well MF is part of GC...and GC was the company bought by BAIN. It's in the very first sentence of the article linked by gg7.

Yea, GC bought MF about..8-10 years ago? It was right around the same time I started really getting into music.
