I'm fairly certain the injuries would be minimal as the bullets would have slowed down significantly.

Ricochets kill people. How would a bullet ricocheting off of him be any different from one bouncing off another hard object?

His clothing, skin and fat probably have a good amount of give before hitting the rock solid muscle.

Who's to say they have any give at all? As far as his clothing, it's freaking spandex.

If his skin had no give then he wouldn't be able to move. He would be a hard shell.

Actually, at one point at least, Superman's clothing was as bulletproof as him. There was a random comic I picked up from a used bookstore that had a story where a crook managed to get one of Superman's spare costumes and it deflected bullets and resisted knives. Kind of a silly story...

What? He's able to move them because he has super human strength. I mean, sure, it may have some give to his own touch, but to bullets? And as for fat, what fat?

Besides, there have been fatalaties when bullets ricocheted off of real people's bones. Yes, the speed of the bullet is significantly decreased, but not enough to make them safe.

He's only able to bend his skin because he's super strong? I'm sure if I did a bit of looking I could find a place where someone picked up his arm while he was sleeping or pocked his face and his skin gave in a bit. I have a hard time believing that his skin only bends because he so strong that he's able to bend it.

I've obviously never taken a class on Kryptonian biology, but human beings need body fat. If someone had no body fat they'd be extremely unhealthy. I'm not saying Superman is chunky. I'm simply saying that if his anatomy is even remotely similar to ours then he has some body fat.

You're probably right about this.

VERY SILLY! Which is why it was a wonderful thing when they rebooted things in the 80s. If only Bryan Singer had taken notice.

Yeah, I'm probably wrong about that. But his skin must be super strong all the same.

But like you said, he's not human. He doesn't have to eat (at least from the comics I've read). He gets his energy from the sun which makes him more like a plant where energy conservation is concerned.

Maybe, perhaps the writers have had this question and have already made a response to it in some way.

Whatever happened to the ability to throw his emblem at a person and trap them for a while in it? Where the heck did the movie producers come up with that idea?

...or using his vision to rebuild a wall. That was pretty cool. Not that this explains all of the problems, but one of the reasons that Superman 2 and 3 seemed so out of touch was that the director didn't know who Superman was before he took over the helm and the producers only cared about making a hit film.
