EDIT: Sorry, I was wrong. He is on the Lakers. I never heard anything about that on ESPN or anything. | It was not huge news. He asked to get out of his contract with Utah so he could sign with a team closer to good medical care for his kid. |

He's gonna have a hard enough time getting playing time as it is with Stoudamire, Navarro, and Lowry around... I think he'll come out on top of that heap, but I think he'll also have plenty of mentors... |

| I'm gonna unstick this thread now...so if you can't find it as easily, that's why.
I was just looking through the Yahoo Sports " Big Board:Basketball", and I realized how lacking in "star power" my team is. My only 5 ranked are: Al Jefferson, #28,Deron Williams #33, D.Howard #46, Mike Miller #47, and Luol Deng at #49. Hmmm, interesting.

Here's mine:
1. Kevin Garnett
4. Dirk Nowitzki
8. Gilbert Arenas
12. Pau Gasol
13. Chris Paul
16. Josh Smith
29. Jason Richardson
32. Carlos Boozer
On the bubble: Ellis, Marbury, Rondo, Crawford, Kirilenko, Brand |

That means I've got 9 players on the board, and you've got 14. Geez. Should be fun to see if that works out for you. If you don't dominate this year, it'll be an dissapointment/upset. |

| Pretty decent rankings, I expected to have more problems with it than I do. I still think Josh Smith is a little high. How do you justify putting him over Marcus Camby, Paul Pierce, or Chris Bosh?

Look at his game log from last year, especially the second half of the season. He began to really turn it on. Look at his block and steal numbers, along with pretty regular double-doubles. Throw in Pierce's probably reduced production this year with the big 3, Camby's notorious injury problems, and Smith's huge potential, and I think that's why he's ranked so high. |

| That will be interesting. I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of production all three of them can put up. Quote: |
Camby's notorious injury problems...
| I think Camby's cumulative value over the last three seasons more than makes up for the injury concerns. Plus, last year he made it through the whole season without serious injuries, playing in only two less games than Smith. And he undeniably put up much better numbers.

| Hey Matt, right now the league has a trade deadline...shouldn't you remove that? It's hard enough keeping track of rosters & trades after the season ends, we might as well use Yahoo for trades as long as we can. |

| I'm not sure either, because it's not there now. I don't know what I saw...but I know somewhere in the settings I saw a trade deadline, but it's gone now.
Ok ok, I know you guys called this one, but Sean May to miss season
So, I've dropped him for McDyess, but I'm still slightly low on the PF front if anyone wants to trade, send me an offer. |
