it's true. and one of the things that infuriates me (even though I know as a christian I should let things go. most of the time.) is that other people expect us to listen to their shpeel, but they won't even give us the time of day. I mean, sure there are "christians" who have given us a bad name, but that doesn't mean we're not worth listening to as individuals. it's hard to wade through.

and yes, I will miss the Mtl family. I'll miss everything on this mountain. I wish we could have spent more time together, but the services and time spent with them were all great.
good times and good memories!

'Morning, Hunter.

If people expect me to listen respectfully to their beliefs, I think I require them to listen to mine, and might, if led, say so.

Are you home yet? I understand that you have the photo of the group. If you could e-mail it to us that would be great.

Supreme apologies guys....

I had [I]NO[I] idea just how badly student teaching would eat my soul. Plus, returning home after three months of 2000 miles away tends to be an event that is proceded by a month of re-adjustment and getting into the groove of being a decent little responsible teacher.

So, I've freakin' missed you guys! Especially you MTL's.

Student teaching is going well, and mtlmom, I've had problems getting that picture from the sight the she posted it at. I haven't had time or internet access to fiddle with it, but when I can I will get that forwarded.

So....for an update.....

Two great things....

1. My sister (34 years young) and her husband have been struggling to become pregnant. Lo and behold, 2 weeks after I'm back, she's pregnant! They had the 1st ultrasound last week; they saw the heartbeat and everything was GREAT. It's a relief and an awesome praise.

2. I've taken some responsibility in my home church with servant evangelism. It's just servanthood with the purpose of trying to get people to come to church. Just pray that I'll be organized enough and prayed-enough to be a good leader.

Anyway, I've got to start my day, but hopefully I can get to school early and check CGR on a regular basis.

Peace everyone....

Hunter! It's great to hear from you. I can only imagine how crazy your last month has been. It sounds like things are going well for you (except for the soul-eating part - that's a bummer). Is it really, really cold when you walk into a room full of band students?

Wow, that is just wonderful! I was 31 when Taylor was born, and I am convinced that older parents enjoy the experience so much more - because we don't take anything for granted.

I'll pray for you. Have you read One Thing You Can't Do in Heaven by Mark Cahill? That book would be a wonderful support for you if you haven't read it. Part of his theology seems a bit off to me, but overall it's a good study.

Have a great day. No problem with the picture, I will just continue to harass you periodically until you send it.

Mark Cahill? umm....He's only like 2.2 hours away from me. [/valley girl]

I've been fortunate enough to hear him speak twice, and I've read and own that book.

I really like his first thought when he was saved, "Why didn't you guys tell me about this sooner? I could have Died!!" And he was very ticked about it. That is his personality though. He is unapologetically a "jock."

How's Mr. Mtl and the gang?

Mr Mtl is doing great - thanks for asking.
Taylor is in full swing of things with her senior year. We seem to be making a lot more trips to the big city to the north for all the activities that have popped up this year. Taylor and I are taking a Web Design/HTML class together. She has a decided lead on me, since she has been using V bulletin code and HTML for all the sites she visits.

Still pondering and praying about what I will be doing after she graduates.

Thanks for the picture of the Team from this summer, it's a keeper - we sure miss all you guys. It is nice though to get back in the swing of things with our regular church.

God Bless on the student teaching and the Servant Evangelism.

I recently listened to a fantastic sermon by Matt Chandler. If you guys haven't heard him, I'd suggest you look him up. His podcast on iTunes is under "The Village Church." If you aren't a staunch five-pointer, then you might not agree with some of his stuff. As a 3.954 pointer, I am able to listen to it without turning it off, and more than that, can hear some amazing things that are, in my opinion, straight from the Holy Spirit. His series on repentance resonated with me.

That's where I'll start. How amazing is it to have a God that has a convenental (sp?) love relationship with you? Think about that! It's foolishness. Really. Fully absurd. Our creater loves Christians no matter what they do. The world would say it's unjust. Those that follow the law would call it unjust.

Guess what?

Matthew Thiesen-"The beauty of grace is that it makes life not fair."

For richer or poorer, better or worse. We are the bride of Christ, and are entitled to the love that goes with it.
Praise God that's one thing in my life I can't screw up.

Makes me want to scream. (In a good way.)

I'm praising Him today. Can you tell? Now to go be obediant because of my love for all that.
