Sound of Music anyone?
In the musical, atleast my area's version of the musical.. there is a line where the Captain comments on Maria's new dress. Maria responds with "We have a new postulant". and exits the stage. The audience always laughs hysterically at that comment, and I and the others in the pit always wonder what is so funny about that.

Help me out here.




Wait. Is it maybe "We have a new postulate"? I don't know, but either way I am not getting it.
