| Prayer please! Heya,
My grandfather is going in for hip replacement surgery tomorrow. I am asking that you would pray that the Lord is watching over him as he goes through his ordeal, keeps him safe and guides his healing.
Thanks.
Rhonda.

| Thanks for the prayers guys. He came through just fine. He is home now trying (literally!) to get back on his feet.
This has been quite a setback as he is an extremely active person. I know that with continued prayer that he will be well again soon and back doing the things he loves.

| Thanks for the prayers guys.
I was talking to Mom earlier today and he went back in surgery yesterday because of an infection in and around the new hip.
They were unable to clear the infection so he is going into surgery again tomorrow so they can remove the prosthetic. From there he will end up waiting another six weeks until the infection clears and everything heals - then they will put the replacement back in again.
Please continue to pray for my grandfather as he goes through this ordeal.

| Hey guys,
Thanks for your continued prayers. Just an update on the situation. They have removed the prosthetic and currently he is bed ridden without a hip joint. He has had a hard time recovering with blood loss from hemorrhaging as well as other complications.
He is hoping to be released from the hospital tomorrow. From there it will be a six month wait to see if they can replace the joint again although there is a chance that this will not be possible... meaning that he wouldn't be able to walk again. This is very devastating to him and our family as he was (and hopefully will be!) a very active person who was involved with his community and church on a great level.
Please, continue to pray for him.
Peace,
Rhonda

| Here is the update.
The infection cleared and they decided last week that they would be able to replace the joint sooner than anticipated. Originally they said ti would be six months from the end of September. He went in for surgery today to have the prosthetic in again. Our fingers are crossed that this time everything works out.
However, as things always go with our family, it couldn't just end there. As Grampy Brown was getting out of surgery today Grampy Schofield fell from his truck and broke his hip.
I was speaking to Dad for a few minutes this afternoon and he was with Grampy Schofield as he was waiting to go into surgery. He said they were both doing fine.
When it rains it pours I suppose.

I recently phoned Mom and she said that one grandfather is in the ICU because of blood loss during the surgery and the other was still waiting for surgery.
It's difficult being so far away from family during times like this.

Grampy Brown is still in the ICU. He lost a lot of blood and has been in there since he came out of surgery.
Grampy Schofield came though his surgery fine and is still in hospital.
