| We Still Don't Get Along (RC) This is a song that sort of came out of me in about 20 minutes. It's not the most amazing thing I've come up with, but I kind of like it. I also added a recording of a chord progression I've made up that could possibly go along with it.
As we bicker
souls are lost
Satan's work
comes at a cost
And still, we don't get along
I'm concerned
I may not have enough
I lament all day
For what I don't own
And we still don't get along
There's strife in church
The pastor's not quite
sensitive enough
he might offend the heathens, you know
Still, I wonder why we don't get along
Rock and Roll is evil
All Catholics are hellbound
Strike fear into their hearts
And then they'll believe
How could we possibly
preach the Word
If we can't even show love to each other
If we're wrapped up in ourselves
If we put ourselves before the rest
Maybe I'm wrong
about what I believe
Maybe those who disagree
are not any lower than me
We'll always have our differences
Accept it, it's true.
But we can't let that stop us
from spreading the truth
Yet we still can't get along

For years I used a typical off-the-shelf bar-type soap and I had no idea that, even though I rinsed properly and thoroughly after every cleansing, there was still a soap scum residue on my hands and fingers.
This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight. | |
