| Top 10 albums by decade I thought this would be a fun thread to participate in. Basically, post your top 10 albums from each decade from the 60s onwards. If we get enough posts, perhaps I will compile it into a list or something. You can go earlier if you like, but I can only think of a few albums from before the 60s that I would consider favourites and most of them are jazz, so I'm going from the 60s. Anyway, here is my list, which will probably change more than once; 1960s
10. Pink Floyd - The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
9. Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde
8. Van Morrison - Astral Weeks
7. Miles Davis - In a Silent Way
6. Frank Zappa - Hot Rats

| Haha, perhaps. The order changes all the time depending on mood. Fun House probably takes the top spot more often, but I've been in a Springsteen mood as of late, maybe because I found a bunch of his records for $3 each when I was digging around at a record shop and I've been listening to them a lot.
Also, I should note; feel free to put less than 10 albums or to skip decades or whatever. |

| Also, indicate your favorite decade. That would be interesting. I like this thread. It is pretty much music recomendations for me. I am just starting to get into music, so I have a lot of catching up to do.

| I made a thread somewhat similiar to this a long time ago, except I think I included favorite songs on top of favorite albums.
I'll make my lists later.

I honestly haven't heard enough albums from any of the decades besides the 90's and 00's to do this. Stupid lack of music funds...

| I still haven't heard Tim to be honest. I find it hard to believe it could be better than Let It Be.
Feel free to just do the 90s and 00s, or to post lists of less than 10 albums. Also, the library and and second hand record stores with $2 vinyls are good places for getting albums from the 60s, 70s and 80s. |

It's really rock and roll the way rock and roll is supposed to be made. Songs like "Gary's Got a Boner" don't compare. Quote:

But there is mostly 90's and 00's albums. I'll try and scrape together a decent list tonight.
