Presumably, Pink Floyd doesn't appear on other lists because either people just don't like them or they don't like them enough to include them in their top 10. Basically, these lists aren't supposed to be objective in any way, all they represent are people's tastes. |
You know I agree. This thread got off track and I started thinking about that last night.
I'll have to post my own list down the road here. My youth culture is from the 60's and 70's
and I myself will really have a tough time of sorting a top ten list from each decade as there
were a lot of great artists in several genres. I thought the 80's saw a lot of creativity in terms
of it's music culture as well. The 90's produced it's share of great talent and the
youth culture of today is leaving it's mark as well and time moves on.
I asked my question in good spirited curiousity and lets say the reactions and discussion
has been rather interesting. It has been good fun.
