Reliable, flexible, trustworthy, free website counter?

A professor that I've been working on two database projects for (go to www.ascent-ministries.org/money.html and www.ascent-ministries.org/mathecon.html if you're interested in what the projects are) has requested that I add a website traffic counter to both pages before we put them up on his university website.

I need something free, reliable, flexible, and trustworthy. Any recommendations? It would be nice if I didn't have to sign up for anything in order to get the counter and if, once downloaded / copy-and-pasted, there was no information going to anyone except me / the professor. It would also be nice if there were a few designs to choose from.

Help me out.

p.s. if you do check out the databases, please let me know if the pages look alright (nothing floating on top of anything else, etc) and what browser you used to access them. I've worked hard to try to get them to display pretty much the same in both Firefox and IE, but I don't have any other browser to try them in and I'm using old versions of both FF and IE.

Anything?

I like something like www.quick-counter.net, but I'd really like something that I can completely host locally. Is this something I could easily program into a javascript file?

I don't know of anything as far as the counters go, but I used OSX's Safari to check the databases out and they were fine

Awesome. Think you could shoot a quick screenshot for me? If not, that's cool, but it'd help a lot.

And use www.ascent-ministries.org/money.html for the first database for now, by the way.
