Does anyone know if I can be in a public school full time and take one home schooled class too?

you mean like you wouldn't have that class at school? or would it be an added class you take and do on your own at home?

Well, I'm not sure. I just need a way to take US history without having to take it as a class at school. Its required and I have no room in my schedule for it.

Does your school have an independent study option? that might be your best bet. Anyway, who don't you have room for a required class?

I go to a pretty small school and US history is only offered on two hours. I couldn't take it this year because I am taking Algebra 2 and Band on the only hours with US history. Next year, when I'm a junior, I'd have to take it with a bunch of sophomores but I probably won't have room for it anyway. I was thinking about doing the mail-in thing but I don't know if the counselor will let me.

Your guidance department should be able to help you out with this. I live in Canada so it's a different stroy, but up here you are allowed to take a correspondence course while attending school full-time. FYI: Correspondence courses require a lot of self-discipline and motivation. I'm taking three OACs right now by correspondence and I do school all day (I'm not attending regular school) i don't have the time. It is nice because I can decide when I do what I do.

Talk to your guidance counsellor, you might even get that credit waived

Good Luck
