How long were you together before becoming engaged?
It's been asked before, but not in a long time and the other thread was closed because it got sorta off track, so I thought I'd post it here. No, I'm not anywhere near becoming engaged, but only curious.

I'd say we've pretty much covered all the bases between the two of us, John.

I wonder if anyone out there tops either of us on our respective ends of the spectrum.

One year to the day, married half a year later.

My friend has John beat. Met in July, engaged in August, married in November.

Divorced in May.

We met July 4th 2005. Started dating in September. We got engaged the following August, and married in December. We might have gotten engaged sooner, but about 9 of our 11 months dating we were in a distance relationship.

My parents were engaged two weeks after they met, and married two or three months later... And are still together after over twenty years!

We met in August of '04, he proposed in September of '06, and we'll be married in December of '07. Just five more months!!

Too long! We have been together for about 2.5 years and we've been engaged nearly a year, getting married in October.

ETA: Haha - that might look bad if you don't know us! We've been long-distance so things were drawn out a bit. Not that I need to explain, but hey.

my uncle has Arts friend beat.

Met first date in 2 days, engaged in 10 days, and married in under 2 months. 25+ years later, they have the most solid marriage on that side of the family.
