Jacob stratton

Hi my name is Jacob Stratton. I Live in Valdost Ga USA. I have been playing guitar for 10 years now. My influences range from Skynrd and AC/DC to Metallica and Megadeth to Job For a Cowboy and All Shall Perish. I have been in a few prominent local bands and almost got sined to an indie lable here in town had it not been for my band breaking up. I have played alongside a few well know hardcore bands: Evergreen Terrace, Calico System, My Children My Bride, Beyond All Reason, With Blood Comes Cleansing, Lokyata, Casey Jones, Blinded Nights Tragedy, Torn Between, A Day To Remember, Vera, A nightmare and a cataclysm, and a whole lot of others.

I am currently writting material for a death metal band which I am soon to form. If you would like to hear some of my work got to my music profile on myspace.com. It's in my signature below.

I plan on posting some updates from the studio as well as pictures in the coming weeks. Drop by and have a listen. My newest song is still a work in progress. I added it to myspace just to give an Idea of what I'm working on now. It's called the new death. I have to go and re-record the guitars with better amps and what not but it's an Idea for now.

Peace till next time.

And remember, keep it metal

Jacob {wylde}

I just posted a new song on my myspace. It's called Grip of Grace. It's by a band called Trail of Altars. It's a song close to my heart and i thought I would share it with others. I asked for permission and the band leader (herbie) was gracious enough to let me use the copyright. It's not top quality but it gets the job done.

I've found a new guitar player. His name is Jon Rykard. He's been in a few metal bands around town and can write some pretty brutal stuff. Look for some better demo's coming with him adding to the mix.

I posted a new short demo to the page. It's called the 7th Seal. I'm adding more to it but the demo gives you and Idea.

I re-recorded guitars on my two songs on my myspace profile. You can actually hear them now..... I used a fender metalhead.... Might I say they are pretty nice. I also tuned down to A and A# on the two songs. That's way low but sounds good to my ears. I'm talking to a guy about doing drums for me now so now I'm just missing bass and a singer. Well, I'm gonna go play guitar hero for a few hours and then do some writting.....

Peace

Jacob

"Metal Demo with Vox" is my favorite musically. Some very cool riffs going on there. The tone is definitely too scooped for my tastes though.

Yeah I think I had the eq like lows: 6 Mids: 4 Highs: 6

I use alot more mids in my tone now. I play lead at my church and I put my mids around 6 or 7 and my lows at about 5 and my highs around 6
