| For rock - Acoustic, totally.
For electronic - Electric.
I prefer playing the acoustic overall.

i also took that into consideration, we'll use that for now, but if we actually get a band put together and start getting reasonably good, we'll go for the Acoustic's. but im not the drummer, hopefully my friend's friend who's a drummer already owns an acoustic set.

| I like Acoustic drums a whole lot better. They don't make that cheap electric sound. Not only that, you don't have plug in anything just to make sure that the drum sound is heard. I can't wait to get another set. I might get a Tama set.

| Neil Peart uses a hybrid setup, and does it very effectively.
I'll probably get another set once I have the money. I really like the Pearl 4 piece sets with Zildjian K series cymbals, a set up chimes, woodblock and/or cowbell, and a hi-hat tamborine. |

| I thought this was interesting: http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/msg/365450517.html
Looks like the feel of acoustic drums(not cymbals) but the advantage of electric drums.

Generally when I see a hybrid set it has real cymbals and an acoustic bass, snare, and floor tom, but the rest of the toms are electric.
