Surgery tomorrow!!

Okay, you might have seen this thread. And it has some information about what's been going on this whole time with my dad. But his surgery is tomorrow at 8 o'clock mountain time. Some things I havn't said in that thread... That he's really really nervous, like I've never seen him nervous about something in his entire life. And he is extremely afraid of the dark and they will have a patch over his eye, the one he's getting surgery on. They can only do one becasue he's perminatly blind in the other one and that'll never come back, and he knows that. But either my mom and/or my brother will be there tomorrow with him all the time except not in the room during the surgery. But they will be there the whole time with him. At least one of them.
Those are two things that I have learned and I don't believe I've mentioned in the other thread. But Please please please pray for him. I we really want this surgery to go well! I will try to keep you all updated when I hear things. My mom promised to keep me updated as she knows things. So whenever I'm near a computer I will update. I have other things going on tomorrow that I can't miss, a test and some other stuff. I really wish I could be there, but I can't.

Heya Rachel, Don't worry at all. I'm sure the Lord will make this surgery work out for your good. Rom 8:28. Just keep cool, and steadfast( I know its hard!!!). I hope God grants your dad healing and salvation.

Well, bad news guys. The doctors wouldn't do the surgery, his blood pressure was really high and because of his diabetes, his blood sugar was wayy to high also. They were really worried about that, and also his hugeee anxiety of being afraid of the dark. So they didn't do it. And he's home, and he's really really really mad about it. I didn't want that to happen, really. But I guess it's better than them doing it and something happening later.

Are they going to rescedual it, or just not do the surgery at all?

Um, as far as I know if he takes medication for his blood pressure and blood sugar they will have it rescheduled in July hopefully. But he's not one to take medicine...

Okay, I found out what his blood pressure and blood sugar level was last night. Some of you that know about this kinda stuff are going to be shocked probably. The little meter read 201 over like 118 for his blood pressure. And he had a 132 for his blood sugar... Which the okay zone for that is like between 110 and 120... Yeah, I was shocked when my mom told me this. Apparently the nurses said that they were really surprised that he wasn't having a stroke or heart attack right then and there because they were both sky rocketing.

Well, he has a doctor's appt on Monday to get him some prescriptions for his blood pressure and blood sugar... Once he gets on those and stays on them he'll be able to have the sugery in roughly 3 weeks after he starts taking them. He's not good about taking things like that. But if he wants the surgery then he needs to be taking them.
