Violin Tuning

I played the violin for about 4 years and then stopped. Now, two years later, a few people are asking me to play, but I can't remember how to tune my violin. I know the tuning (G D A E, right?), so I just need to know if I use the big pegs at the top or the small ones at the bottom. Which ones do I use?

Use the pegs at the head to get as close as you can, then use the fine tuners (on the tail piece) for slight adjustments. The fine tuners should be in the middle of their travel range to give you room to adjust.

It's awesome that your violin has fine tuners. Most don't have those.

Like LWatford said, use the big pegs first then the fine tuners. But if the violin is just a little bit out of tune you can just use the fine tuners.

I only have 1 fine tuner on my violin, it is for my E string.

This cross sits atop a hill, towering over the valley where I live.
My father built this cross and carried it up and set it into place.
This cross reminds my family and me everyday ''that by His stripes we are healed''.
We shall not fear sickness or disease, we shall stand with much faith in our hearts and say,'' We will not tolerate these evil works of the evil one, but stand firm in our faith and be healed in Jesus name.''
Through our lives living on this earth we will have faith and trust in Jesus' everlasting promises.
