I was talking specifically about rookies, but yeah. The third/fourth years can come out of nowhere.

Franchise quarterbacks are not drafted to be great their first year. They are drafted to be great their third year.

JaMarcus Russell will likely not start this year. Not with three quarterbacks who have already started NFL games on the roster.

Granted. Three years from now, though, I still predict Russell to be mediocre.

What do you think about Quinn? Do you think he'll be better than Russell?

I think Quinn is doomed for a few reasons:
The Browns
Unfair expectations
Iffy performance in college against future NFL talent
