Lightbulb Stay Connected

In the Book of John, Jesus gives us the ultimate clue to peace on this earth, "stay connected to Me!" Granted, He doesn't come right out and say it in those exact words. Jesus spoke in parables to confound the religious zealots and to provide word pictures for His true believers. Jesus states in John 15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in Him, he will bear much fruit. Apart from Me, You can do NOTHING".
Kinda hard to miss that "nothing" part isn't it? Yet, we miss that part every day. How often do we fail to look to Jesus for the simple tasks we do daily? Brushing our teeth, combing our hair, inhaling and exhaling...etc. I know it sounds a little silly when you put it that way, but Christ Himself told us we can do Nothing without Him. Those things are a part of His provision. He takes care of the little things as well as the big things. God is in the details. He put us together so intricately that science is just now figuring out some of how we're made. DNA proves God's focus on the details. Nothing is so minute that it escapes His notice, attention, and concern.
Therefore, I say to you my brothers and sisters in Christ, look to Jesus for the smallest of tasks. These are the ways we become closer to Him and begin to see His Hand at work in our lives. The more we see Him working on our behalf, the more we will see Him at work in other people's lives. Suddenly, we will begin to see each other in a whole different light, through His eyes. Then, and only then, will we truly be able to live in peace on this earth. It's really that simple... Just stay connected to Jesus.
