Any other parents here choose this route? Natural childbirth can be a hugely rewarding experience for everyone involved, when the mother & baby are healthy, and its done right. I personally can't comment on the "hospital" side of the discussion because we went with a midwife both times.

We went the "hospital" side both times. I think my wife was glad that she was able to get an epidural block, especially after 24 hours came and went the first time.

We weighed our options, but in the end decided to go the hospital route. We'll see how it goes... I love my doctor at this point and she is very open to different methods of childbirth.

I'm not opposed to an epidural... I know full well that there are no absolutes when it comes to L&D!
