It did look like a noise-fest but I still dig the song in it's original form. It's got an interesting story behind it, it's simple-yet-quirky enough to throw-off thousands of imitators and it was written and performed by, imho, one of the greatest rock and roll bands to ever exist; the Mark II version of Deep Purple.
