| Good battery powered amp? Alright, so I'm supposed to be going on a camping trip with our church, and I'm been asked to play guitar. I'm bringing my accoustic, but one of my friends that also plays is going and we were thinking it'd be cool to have one electric also instead of two accoustics.
Neither of us has a battery amp. I don't really know anthing about them, so what do you guys suggest would be a decent one?
For price range lets say 100 bucks for now.

| $100...I think tha Vox DA5 is battery powered...it's $140 new in MF...that's the closest I can think of.
My guitarist actually rigged up his Crate GX-15 with an old car battery using a 12V-->120V converter. |

| Roland Microcube!!
It's a little more than $100 (not by much), but it's worth it.

| Vox DA5 is great, new it's a bit over that. If you already have a DA15 you're familiar with the tone, the DA5 has settings that will run at .5, 1.5 and 5 watts. It also has a microphone connection in the back with a separate volume control. It operates on standard C cell batteries.

| +1 Roland microcube.
got mine on ebay for $85, and couldn't be happier.
although, depending on how many people you're playing to (and if you're playing outside), i'm not sure it'll be loud enough. but definitely try one out at gc or something.

| Yea it'll be outside, maybe 25 people.
I'll look into both of those, and I am willing to ebay to pay less than gc

| I played a Micro Cube the other day, and I was decently impressed for how small and inexpensive it was. +1
