| I would like to point out the fact that the song on myspace now has vocals and is officially awesome. |

| As you might guess, Ranch Barkner is a collaboration between myself and my fiancée. It started as nothing more than a fun name and a promise that if we ever had a band together, we would name it Ranch Barkner. I also had a strong desire to challenge myself to write songs without using any guitars. After this came the desire to do a bit more yelling and shouting. Out of all of this came what you can now hear pouring out of your speakers.

The Blood Brothers
mewithoutYou
Joy Electric
Norma Jean
Of Montreal
The Brothers Martin
The Blamed
The Amazing Skasmonauts

| Well, we'll need the instrumental version when it comes time to do live shows. |

| It's a good idea. After seeing my friend Johnny Hughes play a live show as Cran with nothing but a laptop, microphone, and trumpet player, I've been wanting to do live shows with electronica backing tracks. |

| Like Bomb the Music Industry! with their occasional iPod-backed tours. Jeff Rosenstock told Sean and I that the show he's playing in California in a few months opening for Buck-o-nine and in front of his brand new label will be just him and an iPod. That's PUNK ROCK.
I heart the lyrics in your "about" section (which were posted in CGR Songwriting, no?), and I like the track. It's definitely got a mewithoutyou vibe in your vocals (not a bad thing inherently), but the music is something they haven't gotten to, and Rachael's vocals are quite cool. There are lots of flourishes that are pretty uninhibited, which is getting rare in "weird" indie rock. Everything's got to be so perfect, so it's always cool to hear things like that odd sample of what sounds like Rachael imitating an alarm, and the fakey trumpet synth. Creates a mood.
It also reminds me of the Aquabats songs "Sequence Erase!" and "The Green Ghost," which is a good thing. So post more songs!

| This is cool.
I saw a dude play a show with a laptop, mic and an acoustic guitar one time. It was cool. |
