August Release Of CD/DVD Set Completes Unprecedented Career Retrospective

(Nashville, TN) May 31, 2007 – Any good storyteller knows it’s the second act where the action really picks up. The artistic, message-driven excellence of Third Day’s second five years are captured on the latest piece of its two-part Chronology series, Volume Two (2001-2006), releasing August 7.

Much like the companion Volume One (1996-2000), the two-disc CD/DVD set presents many of the Atlanta-based band’s most beloved compositions, this time from the time period 2001-2006. The 18-track audio disc features some of the band’s biggest hits, as well as a number of previously unreleased live tracks from the “Wherever You Are” tour. Hits like “Show Me Your Glory,” “Come Together,” “I Believe” and “Nothing Compares” line up right alongside powerful live recordings of classics like “God of Wonders,” “Cry Out To Jesus” and “Creed.”

The second disc is a DVD offering high-energy video footage, bootleg performances, home-movie clips and an hour-long, in-depth documentary chronicling the past 10 years of music, ministry and life on the road with one of rock’s hardest working and most celebrated bands, titled, Inside Third Day: The First 10 Years. Fans will see members of the band in unguarded, personal moments as well as a variety of performance settings, from a coffee house in Tulsa, Okla. to sold-out shows in the band’s hometown of Atlanta. A music video for “Tunnel” from Wherever You Are is featured, as well as comments from some of Third Day’s biggest fans.

Taken together, the Chronology projects offer the most complete picture of the five-man rock unit’s creative impact, both in the studio, on the stage and away from the spotlight.

Brad Avery notes, “It is probably the best chance for the inquisitive fan to get the inside scoop on all things Third Day. Never before has there been such an in depth and personal picture of the band and the detailed ups and downs of our lives together.”

“Paul Reeves, of Tangible Vision, who has done all of the ‘behind the music’ type specials on CMT, directed our documentary and we’re really proud of how it turned out. It’s comprehensive and flows well. Paul is such an amazing storyteller,” shares an enthusiastic David Carr. “The end result, for us, is reminiscent of perusing a high school year book. It’s humbling to look back and see where we started and how far we’ve come.”

The upcoming release of Chronology Volume Two (2001-2006) continues the active and award-filled 2007 for the band thus far, including its third career GRAMMY Award for the Gold-certified Wherever You Are, and its 23rd GMA Dove Award, given in the first-time category of Christmas Album of the Year, for last year’s Christmas Offerings.

As the spring turns into summer, Third Day will continue presenting its powerful live show during

selected festival dates in the U.S. and on headlining shows through mid-fall before heading back into the studio to complete work on its next studio project, scheduled for release in 2008.
