guitar builders..... wanna see what I just got?
OOOOOOOOOHH yes!!!!!

went to my friendly local shopfitter today and brought a few off cuts back........

on the top right of this pick is a mallet to give you an idea of scale....,...

the left third is walnut, the rest is mahogany



see the bit with the green painted end? that's big enough for 4 Les Paul bodies on it's own!!!

there are AT LEAST 10 one piece acoustic necks here before I start looking at laminating!!!!!

then theres the pale wood.......

Oak, enough ash for at least 5 strat bodies and a bunch of other really nice stuff too.......



I felt I had to take the guys something so the production manager & foreman got a case of Bud each on my way home (couldn't be seen lifting cases of beer out of the school minibus, now could I?)

I reckon if I'd BOUGHT this lot from Luthier's suppliers I'd be about £800-£1000 out of pocket

Pretty cool, but if you live in Ireland with all that good beer, why would anyone drink Budweiser? Blech!

maybe it's the other Budweiser (Budweiser Budvar) from the Czech Republic.

Anhauser Busch are clowns who stole the name.

you know that there are only a few countries in Europe where AB are allowed to call theier watery stuff Budweiser?

Most it's just Bud.

Interestingly, as far as brands go, the American Budweiser is 19 years older than the Czech Republic Budweiser Budvar. In the US, Budvar is called "Czechvar"...

£20 plus another £40 for a hardcase

but as a ball park, think cost of the parts that I DON'T get for free, plus about £3 an hour.......

a handmade custom for MUCH less than you'd expect!!
