True. I wasn't positive if there was still a free way to use Skype, though. Their website makes it look like you pay $30/month regardless of the use you put the program to, which is pretty silly.

Skype to Skype is free. Skype to landline or cell in Canada or the US is $30 USD/year. Guthrie and I use it extensively. It can at times drop calls - but for the most part we have very few issues, great call quality, and the added bonus of webcams. It also means that my long distance bill for the YEAR is $36.50 CAD.

on topic: I've met people from the internet before...meet in a public place. If possible take a friend along with you. If you can't take a friend, let someone know who you are meeting, where you are meeting them, and what time you expect to be done. If any of those details change, let this person know.
