It sounds like you pretty much have everything you need. I would just save up to get a bigger amp. By the way, what kind of guitar do you have?

Oh yeah. You could get a tuner, an extra set of strings, or a string winder... forgot about those. Those are cheap.

Practice, songbooks, CDs.

You might want to get a guitar care kit...I should get one too.

Harware isn't everything though...top off your skills and your hearing. Train your ears...very important.

You might want to consider a chorus pedal too...but before you start getting a lot of effects, more important is that you learn how to use them well.

Some other cools effects are: Digital Delay, Flanger, Tremolo...
You might want to get a multieffects pedal

u need a new bigger amp like 50 watts or so. but if u can deal with ur amp, go for another guitar or a tuner, and a few more pedals.

What Next ????

Dude .... throw everything in the closet except for the amp and guitar and practice, practice, practice until you can play well, and play clean. Then ... start adding the accessories.

When I was young, I had a Sears Kingston electric and a 10W amplifier. In time, I developed my own style. My friend had a Super Tele, a Fender stage amp, and all the gadgets his parents could buy him. He Stunk! He still stinks! He'll always stink ... because he was never better than his gear.

Keep the faith ...

Pretty much after the guitar, amp, and distortion box... you can do whatever you want. It all depends on what you want to play and what you want to do with what you have. (that was a lot of "what's" ... forgive me. )....

Anyway... to sound like a broken record.... I'll echo what everybody else has been saying. (except I'll phrase it a little differently)

It's not what you have, but what you can do with it. StratMan's story was a perfect example of this. You could have all the gear in the world and still be an awful musician. Better gear does not equal better playing. PRACTICE = Better playing.

The first thing to do is to keep practicing and honing your skills. The next thing is to learn how to squeeze all the cool stuff you can out of your guitar, amp, and distortion pedal. Then you can begin to think about what other kinds of effects you might need. Guitarkid mentioned a chorus pedal.. which I personally think is one of the most useful effects you can have at your disposal. He also mentioned a flanger, which is great for death metal and all kinds of other hard stuff. Heck, Ibanez makes a chorus/flanger all-in-one pedal... you might want to check it out.

Hope this helps.

DOn't worry about your amp for now, I've played for 2 years ona PEAVEY blazer 158 which is the rage 158 with a reverb knob, and it has suited me.

Looks like DirtyPunk has major G.A.S.

What do you want to DO with this "purchase" (whatever it winds up being).... are you planning to start playing some P&W stuff? CCM?? Rock?? or what?

Are you actually having any problems with any of your gear or do you just want more fun stuff to mess around with??
